Background includes computer analysis of piping system for thermal, sustained, and operating conditions according to B31.3 piping code. Coordinated with piping designer for rerouting of piping system based on the results of stress analysis. Extensive knowledge of Caesar II of Codeware, PIPE PLUS of Algor and simplex piping programs.

Also extensive experience in system design, equipment sizing and selection, specification writing, hydraulic and piping calculations, piping design, development of drawings etc.

At LAMITECH S.A. worked on piping design all hydrotherm system using hot water to supply to High pressure laminated Process.

At MEXICHEM S.A. Responsible for supporting lots of equipment on spring or slide plates. Worked on various pump blower exchanger etc. Analyzed jacketed piping.

At CABOT S.A. worked on various Generation power plant. Performed seismic analysis using spectral-curve, and CLASS I/fatigue analysis per ASME SEC III. This includes suppression pool phenomena where down comer releases steam at high pressure and create wave in chamber. This requires 20 to 40 combinations to analyze pipe stress.

TECHNICAL EXPERTISE

* Stress analysis of high temperature and high-pressure pipelines complying ANSI/ASME B31.3 piping code.
* Worked with piping isometrics and piping plan drawings. Located anchors, guides, supports, variable and constant spring hangers on piping drawings.
* For vessel clips design, located supports and guides on down comer piping and provided loads to vessel group.
* For spring hanger design, provided hot load, thermal movement and installed load.
* Stress analysis of high temperature (up to 1400 ◦F) pump piping and calculation of nozzle loads and comparing against API 610 or vendor's allowable.
* Stress analysis of piping system connected to turbine and comparison of nozzle loads against NEMA SM-23
* Stress analysis of heaters, boilers, steam super heater and air cooler piping, and comparing nozzle loads against code's or vendor's allowable.
* Stress analysis of piping system connected to multistage centrifugal and reciprocating compressor and compared nozzle loads against API 617 or vendor's allowable.
* Calculated safety relief valves thrust loads for high-pressure steam and process vapor lines.
* Coordinated with other departments such as civil/structure, vessel and mechanical for pipe supports or nozzle loads.
* Technical Specification and purchase requisition of metallic expansion joints, such as, hinge, gimbals, tied, universal tied, and universal pressure balance joints. Specified rubber expansion joints for large cooling water lines.
* Technical assistance and troubleshooting during construction and operation of plant. Solved vibration problem of ping system.
