Average well depth was 14-16 thousand feet. Average BHT was 350+ degrees. Average deviation was 45-90 degrees. Average mud weight was 10 + 17 PPG. These wells had numerous challenges including; Abnormal formation pressures, Lost circulation, Ballooning formations, Heaving shale sections and Well control issues related to underbalanced drilling techniques.

Experience
1981-1991 / Drilling Superintendent - Rocky Mountain Division, Exxon Company. USA
Well-site supervision as the company representative for drilling operations of vertical, directional, & horizontal gas and oil wells. Managed all rig operations as the company representative on site. Insured environmental aspects of our field operations conformed to all government regulations. Average well depth on land operations was 10,000 to 25,000 feet angle 40-90 degrees. I have successfully managed operations in the following basins; Uintah, Permian, Anadarko, Williston, San Andres, Barnett Shale, San Juan, Tuscaloosa trend, and numerous other gas fields in areas west of the Mississippi River.
During my tenure with EUSA in the Rocky Mountain Division, I managed drilling operations in Labarge WY, on deep Madison formation tests. Anshutz Ranch, "Fogerty Creek" area for Nugget Sandstone and Madison formation tests. Powder Creek, Williston and Permian Basins. Many of these basins and wells were sour gas "H2S" operations.
I have 10 years experience supervising air-drilling operations in Arkansas, Nevada and Wyoming. Additionally I have managed drilling operations in very environmentally sensitive areas including Moran Junction, the entrance to Yellowstone National Park in Wyoming and Los Padres National Forest, (Condor breeding grounds) Santa Barbara County, California.
1986 -1988 / Exxon Co USA Production Operations
I was on temporary assignment from the Drilling Department, to the Production Department, as the Field Superintendent at the Exxon Means Field in Andrews Texas.
During my tenure in this capacity, I oversaw all production operations with-in the field, this included managing the hourly company workforce, the daily production of 15 thousand barrels of oil and the daily maintenance and sales associated with that production. The Means field had on an average of sixteen pulling units working; I was directly responsible for their operational effectiveness and safety. The Means Field was the first Co2 flooded field for Exxon this presented numerous challenges with corrosion and H2s. Because of this operational issue, I oversaw all Drilling, Workover and Completion operations in conjunction with those respective departments with the field.
1977-1981 Arabian American Oil Co.
Engineering Technician, Drilling Engineering Department, Abqaiq S.A.
Duties included offsite well record research, well cement design, casing design, and well testing, Pressure vs. Mud weight design for exploration wells.
I worked closely in the field with multi national work force. I gained valuable experience in well testing (DST) and well operations. I also worked on developing Khuff gas completion methods for the Operations Department. I transferred to the Operations Department in early 1980 as a Relief Drilling Foreman and I worked in that capacity until I transferred to Exxon Co, USA in 1981
