Responsible for DCWO Operations Technical Support, development of required Well Programs and coordination of Drilling and Completions Engineering Staff and Contract Design Specialists. Perform Drilling Engineering Reviews. Analyse operational data to identify performance enhancing opportunities, formulate "train wrecks" analysis, identify and disseminate best practices, lessons learned, implement TL process. Achieve Drilling Performance improvement and NPT decrease. Implement rotary/slide drilling with PDM and MWD (Sperry Sun) – reduce BHA trip times and trips due to Russian Telemetry failures. Modify drilling fluid to prevent mud losses and pipe sticking (polymer-carbonate mud). Perform Stuck Pipe training for drilling crews.
Responsible for Frac designs preparation in cooperation with TNK-BP, Schlumberger and CatKoneft specialists. Supervising Frac jobs (proppant volumes 150-250t, slurry volumes 450-700m3, pumping pressures to 700atm). Achieve ~ 50-150% increase in gas/condensate production. Multistage Frac Job preparation.

Responsible for engineering support for the design, development and implementation of Drilling programs to meet the objectives of Kamennoy 1 Project Statement of Requirements (SOR). Direction of Drilling Engineering Staff (BU Nyagan), Russian Institutes (SIBNIINP Tyumen) and Contract Design Specialists (NvBN Nizhnevartovsk) in the well programs development and technical solutions within the above objectives.
Responsible for development of TOR and overseeing the RDI Design Development for Horizontal Wells. Preparing the drilling programs and providing the technical support in the execution of the Kammenoy 1 Horizontal Well Program – planning the wells, AFE's, coordination of tendering activities for tangible related goods and support services, contracting, logistic, contingency plans, bit selection and hydraulic calculations, drilling fluids selection (FLO-PRO system for horizontal section), daily operation checks and making decisions with SLB directional service (trajectory calculations - MAURER, BHA performance evaluations) and SLB geosteering service. TVD ~1470m, MD ~2700m, horizontal section ~600m, target reservoir thickness 1.2-2m. Improved performance from 14.4 days/1000m on the first Hz well to 10 days/1000m on the last one.
Development of Drilling Performance Baseline, Metrics, Reporting and Analysis Standards for Operations Personnel. Implementation of best practices/lessons learned into operations to improve safety, increase efficiency and reduce cost.
BU Nyagan achieves the best 2006 Drilling Performance Improvement within TNK-BP. Improvement for Spud to Rig Rel/1000m is +8.9% (overall TNK-BP average is +1.99%).

As a member of H&P Assistance Team focusing on rig upgrade, implementation of recommendations and improvements in equipment and process, development drilling plans (S-type directional wells – 4,400m – with above 60MPa formation pressure), optimization of bit performance, recommendations for decreasing drilling time and cost by implementation of new technologies, establishment of checklists and inspection program. Performing Technical Limit Drilling Analysis and determining critical equipment required in a Western/Russian hybrid rig. Increasing drilling efficiency (increasing bottom drilling time in some sections from 20 to 50 %) and reducing drilling time by 15% in average.

The main objective of this World Bank Project was to reduce the rate of decline in oil production on the Uzen' Oil Field, to implement new western technologies, to rehabilitate Block 3A (about 700 wells) and to help Uzen'Munaygas and KazakhOil attract investments to complete the full field rehabilitation (about 7000 wells).
Responsible for all aspects of workover operations on the Block 3A and on-the-job training of UMG staff assigned to this part of the project. Preparing comprehensive workover programs for the selected wells, developing the techniques and practices used for the workovers, working with the Rig Management Contractor to maximize workover rig uptime and efficiency. Introducing new unfamiliar technologies and modern well workover practices – new fishing tools and techniques, application of logging tools, underbalance perforating - TCP, kill pills, new workover fluids, use of packers and bridge plugs, blowout prevention, API standards, SRP design and modeling using software "RodStar" from THETA, pump optimisation, using SR protectors for deviated wells, stimulation treatments to improve the productivity of the wells, matrix acidizing, hydraulic fracturing, Hot Oil treatment with wax inhibitor, near wellbore solvent treatment with packer, treatment of WO fluids against scale, surge testing, etc.
Responsible for tender specifications, bid technical evaluations and award recommendations for procurement of drilling/workover rigs, rig tool, rig equipment and drilling tool.

Responsible for the relevant planning schedules with respect to the provision of Drilling Well Tangible equipment (wellheads, OCTG and associated equipment). Coordination of tendering activities for tangible related goods and support services. Maintenance of DCWO database and daily analysis of rig time optimisation. Integration and supervision of local technologies/services to insure drilling, cementing, logging, under balanced perforating, kill procedures and geophysical surveys are performed to western standard. Our team's effort has resulted in a reduction of drilling times from 27 to 13days (to 3200m) saving $280,000 per well and an increase in production from 1200 to 10,000 bopd.
