Contracts Manager, M Holleran 2005 - 2008
* I was employed in this role since September 2005. My job role entailed:
* the day to day running of AMP 4 framework contract for water and gas mains rehabilitation contracts. This included mains and service renewals using open cut, pipe bursting, insertion and directional drilling techniques. mains diversions, large diameter trunk mains, repair and maintenance works, dirty water pipelines, permanent first time reinstatement, and special projects
* the preparation of CDM files, method statements, risk assessments, planning and programming of works, design methodology, works programming, construction to client's specification, permanent reinstatement and compiling and submission of quality files.
* financial and commercial control of the contract works, tender preparation and review, design co-ordination, preparation of target costs, submission of interim applications and final application.
* liaison with client project staff at all levels, third Parties and the public.
* organization of project managers, agents, supervisors, direct labour and sub-contractors.
* implementation of health, safety, quality and environmental procedures.
* reporting monthly at Director level
Contracts Manager, Fabricon Ltd./M Holleran 1991-2005
* I joined the company as a senior site agent and progressed to a projects manager, then to contracts manager. M Holleran Group acquired Fabricon Ltd. in 2003..
* I was responsible for the completion of projects within given time and budget constraints, purchasing and liason with designers.
* I successfully obtained accreditation to ISO 9001 2000 and ISO 14001 and was responsible for managing the systems.
* I have successfully managed numerous multi disciplined projects involving the construction of high pressure gas and oil pipelines, above and below ground installations; gas distribution mains, services and governor installations; water mains renewals; large diameter steel, ductile iron and P.E trunk mains; repair and maintenance works.
* I have successfully completed several engineering and construction projects in the petrochemical sector in numerous fuel storage and terminals throughout the UK for clients including The Oil Pipeline Agency. British Pipeline Agency, Shell, Texaco, BP, Mobil, Serco Gulf Engineering and Atlantic Power.
* Completed numerous one off waste to energy landfill gas projects throughout the U.K. ranging in value of up to £2m. Clients include: WRG, Bretts, Averly Methane, ARC and Cleanaways

* I joined the company as a supervisor and progressed to an agent, then to senior agent.
* I was responsible for all aspects of contracts for gas distribution term and transmission projects.

* Commenced as a trainee and progressed to contract supervisor on a variety of projects relating to transmission pipelines and distribution works.
QUALIFICATIONS

* City & Guilds Prescribed Qualifying Course in the new roads and street works Act 1991, under sections 67 & 126 of the Act, renewed in 2008.
* Management of health and safety at work regulations 1992, undertook in 1998.
* Auditing of quality management systems to ISO9001, undertook in 1998.
* Site safety awareness course, undertook in 2005
* Construction (design and management) regulations 1994, undertook in 1996.
