OIL/GAS/GEOTHERMAL WORK EXPERIENCE:

Drilling Engineer, May 16, 1978 to March 21, 1982, Philippine National Oil Company, PNOC Energy Development Corporation, PNOC Energy Companies Bldg., PNPC Complex, Merritt Road, Fort Bonifacio, Metro Manila, Philippines. Sent to a drilling school which is a joint sponsored by PNOC and Perusahaan Pertambanga Minyak Dan Gas Bumi Negara of Indonesia. It was an extensive Drillers Training Course from September 18 to December 13, 1978. Function thereafter as a company man for the operator doing drilling engineer responsibilities including monitoring of geothermal, well drilling activities 24/7. After a year I design well drilling programs in coordination with geo-scientific personnel and execute the same. Included in my responsibilities are logistics, cost analysis and monitoring and the daily drilling tour reports.

During my last 18 months with the company I was functioning as a senior drilling engineer supervising drilling operation for Southern Negros Geothermal Project where I oversee three 10,000 footer land rigs, 18 drilling and mud engineers, contractors like Halliburton for well cementation, Dowell Schlumberger for directional drilling, Westburn drilling contractors, a work force of over 300 non-skilled personnel and coordinate with funding consultants like KRTA of New Zealand,

Stimulation Barge Operator, 1985, Halliburton Singapore. I tried once more working in the oilfield but decided not to stay long because of the shaky condition of the contract of my employer with Brunei Shell.

After I left PNOC, I venture in Sales of Food processing equipment from 1982 to 1985 and then again from 1986 to 1988 as a sales engineer for Simon Food of England Philippine sole agent.

In 1988, I decided to form my own company (Kotler, Inc.) catering to the Oilfield equipment and supplies and representing manufacturers from the USA, Brazil, Belgium, Singapore and Mexico. I was the number 2 supplier of oilfield equipment and supplies nationwide as an exclusive Philippine agent of various manufacturers. I co-operated the same business until 1996 while in the US.

Graduated in 1974 with bachelors degree in mechanical engineering and worked as a mechanical design engineer including manufacturing cost estimation, manufacturing engineer, wells and pumps engineer until I join PNOC in 1978.

Migrated to the USA in 1992 and got my US citizenship in 2002.
