This software has saved JPK/Ionik thousands of man-hours by allowing engineers to perform defects assessments and prepare repair schedules in minutes, which would have otherwise taken weeks/months. The software uses imported Intelligent Pigging data, UT profiles (B or C-Scan data) and other defect databases to perform assessments such as single defects, interacting defects, corrosion growth and complex defects and assists in preparing a suitable repair schedule and other reporting requirements.

PROJECT EXPERIENCE

JP KENNY UK – BP – Block 31 Development (PSVM)
Lead Pipeline Engineer responsible pipeline detailed design activities. The PSVM development will be the first of multiple developments anticipated in Block 31. Located in the northeast sector of the block, about 250 miles northwest of Luanda, Angola, in a water depth of approximately 6,500 feet, PSVM will utilize a floating, production, storage and offloading (FPSO) vessel, and over 30 flowlines including PIP production flowlines, water injection and gas lift lines.

SUBSEA 7 UK – EXXONMOBIL – Saxi Batuque Development (Kizomba C)
Package Manager / Lead Project Engineer responsible for various scopes of work including Pipeline Welding, Field Joint Coatings, Spoolbase operations and offshore installation operations. The SB project is a deep-water (800m) pipeline installation project in offshore Angola, consisting of 16 flowlines of 6", 8" and 10" pipe sizes including design and fabrication of 32 Flowline End Termination structures.

SUBSEA 7 UK - TOTAL E&P ANGOLA – Girassol Water Injection Pipeline Repair
Project engineer. The Girassol project is a deep-water (1360m), subsea pipeline repair project of a water injection line in the Girassol field in offshore Angola.

SUBSEA 7 UK - TOTAL E&P (UK), Dunbar Pipeline Replacement
Senior pipeline engineer, performed preliminary engineering to assist preparation of technical bid. Performed calculations and prepared reports for wall thickness, stability, protection requirements and crossing requirements.

SAIPEM UK – Norsk Hydro – Ormen Lange: Senior engineer responsible for design and analysis of tie-in spools and jumpers using AutoPipe Plus. Due to various limitations on the design of the spools such as limited fabrication deck space, surrounding infrastructure and geography, a multitude of options were proposed and analysed to provide the installation engineers with options depending on the final location of the laydown in the target box. TheCAD package Smartsketch was also used to perform rapid configuration changes in order obtain coordinates and dimensions for analysis.

JP KENNY – Hyundai Heavy Industries – Third Transmission Pipeline Project: Senior pipeline specialist responsible for the mechanical design of the rigid riser and tie-in spools for the project, in accordance with company and client specifications. The scope of responsibilities for this project included 8 risers of varying diameters consisting of 6", 24" and 42" sizes.
Used initiative to assess and resolve riser fatigue problems through interpretation of the relevant codes, standards and specifications.
Responsible for managing a project team consisting of 4 design engineers, ensuring that project deliverables were completed to Company and Client specifications, as well as meeting schedule targets.

CLADTEK – IKPT / Pertamina – South Sumatera Gas Project: Project Manager responsible for all project related matters for CladTek, reporting directly to the Managing Director. Responsibilities as per previous project (Mutineer Exeter) – additional responsibilities includes planning, design and logistical management for plant upgrades, preparation and issue of project specific documentation, procurement of 4" carbon steel pipe and CRA pipe from mills, mill inspection visits, technical clarifications, client liaising, and production facility management on a day-to-day basis.

CLADTEK – Mutineer Exeter Project for Clough Engineering Offshore Division and SANTOS:
Project Manager responsible for all project related matters for CladTek, reporting directly to the Managing Director. Responsibilities included:
* Management cost controls and contractual requirements to ensure that project targets were exceeded on the project;
* Tender management and client interface;
* CTR preparation and cost estimation;
* Preparation of Tender documents;
* Review of contractor documentation and issue of contract awards;
* Responsible for all documentation such as Design basis, PQP, PMP, ITP, MPS, Test & Inspection Procedures;
* Organisation of Welding Procedures and Welding Qualifications and MPQT's in accordance with DNV 2000;
* Performance of ECA (Engineering Criticality Assessments) to determine the acceptability of the manufactured pipe for the client's requirements;
* Resolution of technical queries and non-conformance issues;
* At Completion of the project, was responsible for the compilation of the Manufacturers Data Report (MDR) for the client.

CLADTEK – Plant Development:
Project managed the installation of all plant equipment for CladTek's Production facility in Batam Island, Indonesia in accordance with Company requirements.
Responsibilities have included plant repairs, plant maintenance, procurement of supplies, QC Management and all other onsite production related issues.
Management of financial and schedule controls to ensure the installation and construction of the manufacturing plant and its components proceeded in accordance with Company requirements and specifications.

JP KENNY – Chinguetti Availability Analysis for Woodside Energy Limited: Senior engineer responsible for performing an availability analysis of the Chinguetti field layout as specified by the client. Reliability Block diagrams for the field were assessed and then generated integrating a variety of subsea components and controls to determine the overall 'Availability' (the probability of a unit being available) of the Chinguetti system. The software used for this assessment was Shell's proprietary SPARC software.
JP KENNY – PGC (Pagerungan) Subsea Engineering Support – Umbilical Lift Analysis for BP Kangean: Senior Engineer responsible the analysis and review of several options for retrieving an umbilical from the seabed. Analysis was performed using Orcina's Visual Orcaflex software. Additional support was provided during the offshore umbilical retrieval operations.
JP KENNY – Riser Clamp Replacement for Chevron Texaco: Senior Engineer responsible for providing support for the removal/replacement of riser clamps on the Saladin A, B and C platforms. The scope of responsibilities for this project involved the development of analysis spreadsheets for the calculation of wind/wave induced loads and stresses on the riser as a result of Vortex Induced Vibrations. Structural design calculations and analysis to verify the suitability of the existing structural members for the replacement clamp designs.
JP KENNY – Malampaya for Shell: Senior Engineer responsible for writing technical specification documents for freespan assessments.
JP KENNY – TSEP for Woodside Energy Limited: Clients representative offshore during installation operations on the Semac 1. The scope of responsibilities as a senior engineer on this project also included freespan analyses based on field measurements and processing/analysis of survey data for trenching and rock-dumping operations.
JP KENNY – Victoria Development – Subsea Pig Receiver Design Validation for Apache Energy: Senior Engineer responsible for reviewing and design documents and drawings and preparing validation document. The scope of this project included the validation of structural design documents and drawings, pipeline and pig receiver piping design documents, materials specifications and the design premise.
JP KENNY – Subsea Tie-back Options for Conoco-Phillips: Senior engineer responsible for conceptual design and costing of tie-back options for Bayu-Undan field. The scope of responsibilities for this project included conceptual pipeline and component design/sizing and the use of JP Kenny FOCUS software to dynamically cost the field layout options.
JP KENNY – Linda Development – Subsea Protection Frame Design for Apache Energy: Senior Engineer responsible for the validation of the protection frame design for the Linda Project. The scope of responsibilities for this project included checking of structural design calculations and SACS analysis cases for the protection frame and associated structures.
J P Kenny Group GTB – PipeTrak AU: Programming and compilation of FFP software using Visual Basic and Installshield for Woodside.
J P Kenny Group GTB – Fitness for Purpose / IC-Finesse: Engineering and programming of FFP software using Visual Basic, Visual C++ and other technologies. This package is designed for the assessment of defects data from Intelligent Pigging contractors to provide repair schedules and relevant information used to determine the fitness-for-purpose of the system.
JP KENNY – Simpson Alpha/Bravo Tie-In Spool Design Validation for Apache Energy: Senior engineer responsible for the validation of tie-in spool design documents. The scope of this project included mechanical design of piping components, stability design and installation design.
JP KENNY – Minerva Shore-Crossing Design Validation for Lucas/Saipem JV: Senior engineer responsible for the validation of shore crossing design. The scope of responsibilities for this project included the review of piping stress analyses using Rebis AutoPIPE and temporary stability design of the HDD tail section.
WM Gallery – Based in Belfast, Northern Ireland, UK: Design and Software engineering for packages including PipeCalc, IMPRESS, MIDAS and PipeTrak. The scope of work on this assignment included the writing of design specifications for in-house design software, programming of in-house software using Visual Basic and Visual C++ and providing technical support for all JPK in-house software.
JP KENNY – Bream Gas Cap Development Project for Esso Australia: Senior engineer responsible for preliminary and detailed design for BMA-to-Shore Pipeline project, based on GCI-Kenny Melbourne office. The scope of responsibilities for this project included structural design of platform modifications, pipeline/riser mechanical design, stability design, corrosion protection design, horizontal directional drilling, shore crossing design and installation analysis.
JP KENNY – Pipeline Systems Modifications (PSM) for Woodside Energy Limited: Senior design engineer responsible for the design of the protection structures and pipeline clamping system. The scope of responsibilities for this project included the creation of spreadsheets for the design of the friction clamping system for the hot-tap braces, and piping stress analyses using Rebis AutoPIPE to determine the effects of the braces on the pipeline system.
