Medium Term Planning - Graduate Mine Engineer
* Assist the ME to undertake research for use in medium term planning including collection and analysis of data on costs, gold resources, grade and other determinants of mining strategies.
* Provide monthly forecasts and quarterly forecasts along with a review of associated projects for the effective direction of short term planning.
* Undertake reviews as required of current peripheral project practices such as fleet management or equipment time and motion studies, making recommendations for continuous improvement
* Assist the Supervisor in the overall management of roadworks and other minor contracts to ensure contractor companies are providing services and meeting LGL standards as per contract terms.
* Undertake prospective pit re-design ¡* what if¡¨ scenarios in the event of changing physical, financial or strategic parameters.
* Assist in the identification of departmental production, capital or development projects, undertaking research, analysis or project evaluation as required by the Superintendent
* Provide effective field supervision of individual contractor employees to ensure they are working safely and in accordance with contract requirements and LGL safety standards and procedures.
* Liaise with contract management to review their work practices and procedures, making recommendations to ensure they meet LGL standards, including the implementation of Job Safety

ƒÞ Administer the computerised mine dispatch system including management of disk space, system set-up parameters and back-up of daily data to optimise all functions of the system
