Stepan Química Ltda. – 1998 - Present
Stepan is a strong American multinational company in the chemical sector and product supplier for companies such as Unilever, Bayer, Johnson & Johnson, Pepsi.

- Supply Chain Manager - 2005 – 2008 – Directly reporting to Latin America Vice-President.

* Participated actively in the negotiation process of acquisition of a new plant in Brazil, directly involved in its cost model in order to guarantee competitiveness of the operation.
* Designed and implemented a new system involving cost negotiations: analyzing logistic costs, third party companies and new team developments.
* Revised and obtained the licenses and registers from the competent sectors: Ministry of Army. Federal Police, FEAM (Environment Foundation).
* Participated actively in the process of broadening the plant manufacturing: defined together with the engineering area possible manufacturers for new reactors, including financial/commercial analysis of the supplying companies. Follow-up of the orders in order to meet the deadlines.
* Developed new national and international raw material and packaging suppliers for the new process.
* Defined new routes and multi-modal transports in order to optimize: purchase/delivery costs of raw material in our plant and the finished products to our customers.
* Worked together with commercial area for the development of new exporting markets from the new plant, demonstrating new freight costs x competitiveness.

Logistics Manager – 2000 – 2005 – Reporting to Latin America Business Director.

* Built the whole logistics operation for importing products from other Stepan plants and selling them to the Brazilian market.
* Defined the operations in the Customs Bonded Warehouse to optimize the customs taxes payments.
* Conducted the business to rent a third party warehouse in Brazil in order to have availability of products to attend the customers.
* Coordinated with customs broker and maritime, trucking companies and handled miscellaneous logistics matters to ensure timely Customs clearance and on-time delivery.
* Issued purchase orders, applied L/C, developed container loading plan and followed up vendor's compliance with special instructions.
* Participated in the outsourcing of some production in Brazil aiming at lead-time reduction and profit margin increase.
