OBJECTIVE:
I am seeking the position of Safety Manager/Safety Coordinator. With my experience as a certified MSHA instructor and my knowledge of the regulations and procedures, I feel I would be a candidate for the position. My lead driller and blasting experience along with my continued education in business and project management, I feel I would be an asset to your company.

EXPERIENCE:
Safety Coordinator- Ames Construction (1/2008 – 10/2008)
I was responsible to oversee the safety and environmental on the leach pad project for Freeport/McMoRan in Safford, Az. with Ames Construction.
My other site was the Climax Mine outside Leadville, Co. I was responsible for all the MSHA training and saw that Ames Construction was compliant with MSHA regulations. Other duties included creating Safety Observation Reports, Job Safety Analysis and Root Cause reports for incidents and accidents.

Lead driller, Cripple Creek and Victor Gold Mine- (9/1994 to present)
I operate an Ingersol Rand DM 45 or a Drill Tech D75SP. My duties include giving direction to the crew drillers as to where and how to drill the pattern set out by geology/engineering department for the best ore presentation. I am responsible for overseeing the safety of the crew and lead two safety meetings per week. I provided input to the Drill/Blast Foreman regarding hole inventory, changes or adjustments made to the pattern, and production loss due to necessary equipment repair. I work closely with the maintenance department to ensure efficient and safe operation of the drills. I also have ATF clearance to handle explosives and worked with the blasting department.

I have been a certified MSHA safety instructor since 2000. I teach the annual refresher course and other classes, when needed, such as Site Specifics, New Miner and Experienced Miner.

Ceramic Tile Contractor - (2/1990 to present)
I began installing tile in 1982 for new housing developments. I later gained experience in commercial work as well as installation of marble, granite, slate and glass block for custom homes and remodels. I obtained my contractor's license in California in 1990. I have continued to install hard surfaces since moving to Colorado in 1993.

EDUCATION:
I have been attending Colorado Technical University to obtain a bachelor's degree in Business Management and am one class away from obtaining a certificate in Project Management and 1 year from obtaining my bachelors degree.

I am currently taking the OSHA 500 class and I am current with my First Aid, CPR and AED card, which is expires Sept.2010.

I also have experience in Power Point, Excel, and other MS software.
