Manage day to day operations of five drilling rigs running in the Barnett Shale. Interact with Directional, Mud, Rig superintendents, order casing, Cement and work with land department to insure proper well placement as well as with construction to coordinate locations and ratholes in proper place. Highly involved with HSE and zero accident policies. Work with new consultants to train on DIMS and well reporting procedures and HSE policies. Involved with drilling engineers on planning and executing the drilling of wells with constant communications between both the field and management.

12/2005 – 2-2008 Devon Energy

Senior Drilling Consultant:

Manage day to day activities on land based drilling rig, coordinate cement jobs, run casing, move rig. Work with closed loop drilling system. Manage personnel on rig and drill in the Barnett shale formation utilizing horizontal drilling.
Record for fastest hole in 24 hour reporting period,
Record for fastest hole from spud to KOP.
No LTA's or recordable accidents on rig since taking over rig.

Desk Engineer for BHP

Coordinate offshore directional drilling activities and directional tools to location. Plan and execute Deep water drilling from 2500' to 8500' of water utilizing conventional bottom hole assemblies as well as the Rotary Steerable drilling system.

Work Gulf of Mexico from Mustang Island to Green Canyon, East and West Cameron with operations ranging from Barge rigs to Drill ships.

Coordinated drilling activities from the Gulf of Mexico to North Dakota.
Planned, executed and drilled Short Radius, Medium Radius and Conventional directional drilling. Involved in all aspects of operations from planning to picking assemblies to drill with and improve drilling environment.
Work with geologist and engineers on a daily basis to optimize drilling conditions and minimize problems.

Own and operated company since inception. Concentrated on directional drilling everywhere from South Texas to North Dakota and set up operations in Queensland Australia. Managed day to day operations and making sure all tools needed to drill with were on location and drilling operations were maximized to their full potential.

Worked closely with clients to pick rigs, rental companies, and provided limited engineering to maximize cost savings in the drilling of the wells.

Turn keyed and drilled nine straight hole wells and worked as company man on location. Responsible for the complete job from location to running casing.

Also turn keyed three horizontal wells in the Fredricksburg formation in East Texas. Contracted everything from location to completion. Worked with engineer on completions and production facilities and set up of tank battery.

Worked as directional driller and company man on high pressure well in East Texas after company man left due to inexperience and high pressure on well. Worked with Richman petroleum to finish drilling well and getting back on track with costs.

Started company and oversaw daily operations and sales from South Texas to Arkansas. Drilled multilateral project in Arkansas in the Smackover formation in southern Arkansas. Drilled and completed over 72 wells using short radius drilling, 55-65 degrees/100' Build Rate.
Worked in South Texas for Killam Oil, Trans Texas, Modern Exploration and Continental Resources drilling horizontal and conventional directional wells.

Started as directional driller for them and went into the office after nine months in the field as the Directional field manager.

Watched over offshore and land wells and implemented short radius drilling.

Managed all day to day operations and worked closely with client and engineers to productively drill directional wells.

Started as directional driller drilling conventional directional and horizontal wells.
Drilled south Texas to Arkansas using horizontal methods for clients such as UPRC, Citation Oil and Gas, Basin Resources, Modern Exploration, Ultramar Oil and Gas Winn Exploration, Phillips Petroleum to name a few.

Went into the office in November of 1992 and worked as North American Drilling Manager, taking care of 17 Directional jobs a day from South Texas to Canada.
