DELTA HYDROCARBONS BV
Consultant- Senior Drilling Engineer, Hungary
Exploration / Appraisal land HPHT gas well September 2008 – To date

Consultant SDE for Delta Hydrocarbons for its operations in "TK Services Hungary" – a joint venture between Delta Hydrocarbons and Toreador Resources. Services provided through agency " Keltec Petroleum Services", based on Aberdeen (UK)

Responsibilities included planning and operational activities such us:
* Engineering support for the preparation of Basis of Design, and the Drilling program, in compliance with Delta Hydrocarbons planning process, for an exploration / appraisal well in SE of Hungary. This well was 3,800 m deep, with HPHT conditions – BHST of 190 deg Celsius and 2.15 sg EMW of maximum expected pore pressure. Other characteristics include Hard rock drilling through the pay zones as well as potential for H2S presence in the lower pay zone.
* Budget and schedule preparation, and follow them up during the drilling operations. Total budget was $15.9 MM with 67 days for drilling and completing the well. Stimulation and testing activities have $5 MM as AFE.
* Provide technical support for procurement of equipment and materials for the well.

BP EXPLORATION Caspian Sea – Azerbaijan October 2004 – August 2008

Lead Drilling Engineer & Ops Support Shah Deniz Alpha Platform Nov 2006 – Aug 2008

Responsibilities included:
* Give operational and engineering support within the Shah Deniz Platform team while drilling the first platform well. Shah Deniz is a HPHT gas condensate field, with wells of +6500m MD, 180-220 drilling and completion days, and $70 MM - $90 MM of budget.
* Provide to the Drilling Superintendent technical input on Casing design, BHA design, directional planning, cementing operations and other drilling engineering aspects, for managing the implementation of changes to the drilling programs.
* Support the execution of troubleshooting operations derived from unexpected drilling problems like cementing remedial jobs, and extra directional work.
* Lead the preparation and execution of the remedial programs for tow pre-drill wells (work over operations of US$ 25-30 MM per well)
* Support the execution of tie back operations for four pre-drilled wells
* Prepare engineering solutions for current well integrity problems minimizing impact of well productivity. Each Shah Deniz well produces 180-220 MMSCFD of gas, and 15-20 MMBOD of condensate oil.
* Mentor and coach local staff to develop engineering and leadership capabilities in Azerbaijan

Lead Drilling Engineer, West Azeri Platform October 2004 – November 2006

Responsibilities included:
* Preparation and implementation of the readiness plan for the platform start up
* Prepare tie back program for five pre-drilled wells, and the drilling programs for the first platform wells platform wells. Main drilling issues in this area are related to shallow soil conditions including shallow water flows, reactive shales. Drilling depths are around 4,000 – 4,500 m, with a budget of $20MM-$25 MM and 60-70 drilling and completion days. The wells are completed with Open Hole Gravel packs, producing an average of 30,000 bopd.
* Budget and schedule preparation for drilling rig activities
* Coordinate equipment and materials procurement
* Lead the implementation of Knowledge Management and Technical limit initiatives.
* Mentor and coach local staff to develop engineering and leadership capabilities in Azerbaijan

BP EXPLORATION - COLOMBIA September 2006 – October 2004

Responsibilities included:

* Provide engineering support to the operation of a land drilling rig in the Niscota E-1 wildcat well (AFE / Budget: 210 days, US$37.7MM).
* Select and Implement alternative technologies for improving drilling performance
* Daily operational interface, trouble shooting, final well and cost reporting.
* Perform well site visits as required by the operations
* Lead and Support the implementation of the "Beyond the Best" (BP Worldwide Planning Process), and "Technical Limit" processes
* Optimise contracts and logistics processes for the equipment and materials for a remote location

Responsibilities included:

* Support continuous drilling and workover programs, for two 3000 HP land rigs operating in Cusiana, Cupiagua and Recetor fields. Well budgets varied from $20 MM to $30 MM for drilling, and from $3.0 MM to $6.0MM workover jobs.
* Well design, budget preparation, equipment specification, well site visits and daily operational interface, trouble shooting, final well and cost reporting.
* Lead the implementation of "Beyond the Best" (Well planning) and "Technical Limit" (Continuous improvement) processes for BP Colombia.
