Worked as Project engineer (CAE), In Wipro Technologies Ltd, Madhapur, Hyderabad.

Summary
1. Making time estimation of the finite element modeling projects.
2. Executing the project with team members.
3. Doing fatigue, static or free free modal run in Nastran based on the client's requirement.
4. Conducting audit of the projects.

Projects Handled – Hypermesh and NASTRAN:
Fatigue analysis of 53 teeth bicycle sprocket using Hypermesh and Nastran.
The client supplied us with Sprocket and cross arm geometry. He had provided us with tangential and radial loads that were to be applied on the teeth for two different cases. Second order Tetra meshing was done in Hypermesh for both sprocket and cross arm. The sprocket was connected to cross arm by using RBE2 elements. Constraint was applied on the rigid at the center of the cross arm. Local coordinate systems were created for each teeth to apply tangential and radial loads. Two different load collectors were created for tangential and radial loads. Load steps were created for different cases.. Subcases were created giving using load collector and constraint collector. Control cards were selected with solver 101.This was solved in Nastran and stresses, displacements were viewed in Hyperworks. Vonmises stress, max principal stress, minimum principal stresses are noted. From these values the Goodman fatigue index was calculated to determine the fatigue life of the component.
Finite element modeling of defroster assembly for Visteon in Ansa
The geometry cleanup or Topology was done for all the components in defroster model to remove the single and Triple edges. The front portion near the grills was made fine about 1.5mm and the rest of the regions were captured with 3 mm mesh.

Projects Handled – Hypermesh 7.0:

Finite element modeling of Transmission components for Nissan Jatco Japan.
The Finite Element Modeling of Transmission,Housing,Extension was done using Tria elements of 10mm size..Tetras were generated for each of these independently. Then different combinations of extensions and housings were used to evaluate the stress results in Nastran.

Finite element modelling of Global tetra models
Successfully executed Global Head & Block Tetra Model with the required tetra element node count as per the client requirement for thermal analysis. The client GMP supplied us with one single geometry file containing all the components. This geometry was segregated initially into individual collectors like water jacket, oil, outer surface, head deck face, oil pan gasket face, combustion chamber, intake port, exhaust port etc based on head or the block. Each collector was meshed individually maintaining their respective sizes. For water jacket 8-10 mm mesh was used. For outer surface 10-12 mm mesh was used.

Finite element submodeling of Engine block & head submodels.
I have successfully executed Submodeling of Engine Block and Head Tetra models for GMP as per their guidelines. Here the sizes of the components are less compared to the global models. The Water_Jacket is meshed with 3-4 mm, Outer surface is meshed with 5-6mm to achieve the desired node count.

Finite element NVH modeling of Engine block, head, intake and exhaust manifolds.
I have done the NVH Modeling of Engine block, head Intake, exhaust manifolds. In this modeling a very big size of mesh of about 15-20 mm was used.

Normal Mode Analysis on seat Assembly
Modeling of JCI seating system was done. The natural frequency of the mechanism was obtained using Normal Mode Analysis of Nastran.

Finite element modeling of Seating system for JCI
FE modeling of seating system was carried out for seat subassemblies including recliner brackets, rear hook, front hook, riser beam, torsion bar, mounting bracket, rear hook mechanism, front cross member, side cross member, upper internal bracket,upper end bracket and back panel using Hypermesh.

Finite element Modeling of DVD Player for HJCI
FE shell Modeling of DVD Player parts, brackets, dog-house was carried out using Hypermesh.

Finite element modeling of wheel rim and brackets by solid Meshing for PAULSTRA, AMCAST.
Finite element solid (3D) modeling of wheel rim and brackets was done for PAULSTRA and AMCAST using Hypermesh.

Finite element modeling of engine block,brackets and body for VISTEON
Finite element modeling of engine block,body, brackets and other components was carried out using tetramesh option in Hypermesh.

Finite element modeling and analysis of Parking Brake
The modeling of the Parking Brake assembly was done using Hypermesh. Analysis was done for different load positions.

Finite element modeling of door for CADFORM
Finite element shell modeling of all the door components of CADFORM was done using Hypermesh..

Finite element modeling for MAGNA,DURA,EDSCHA,HG
Finite element modeling of components for subassemblies like wiper assembly etc was done for MAGNA, DURA, EDSCHA, HG using Hypermesh.
