Senior Process Engineer (2007)
Responsible for process development, operating procedures and operator training for all printed circuit manufacturing processes, including Drill, Photo Imaging, Plating, Wet Processing, Via Fill and Solder Mask operations.
* Developed the operating procedures for newly purchased Through-hole Via Plugging and Planarization equipment. Trained operators and oversaw production startup of the new facility.

Engineering Services Supervisor (2006)
While continuing to function as the facility Environmental Engineer, supervised six engineers; materials engineer, program managers (2), automation engineer, database programmer, and simulation software engineer.
* Coordinated a successful plant closure, including closure of the facility waste treatment plant in accordance with regulatory requirements, while meeting an extremely demanding shutdown schedule of only three months.
* Updated the Environmental Management System website/documentation for the new non-manufacturing environment.
Environmental Engineer (2001–2006)
Responsible for site environmental compliance and development of the site ISO 14001 Environmental Management System.
* Administered development of the site ISO 14001 Environmental Management System, while leading a cross-functional team to identify the significant environmental aspects for the Irvine operations, and develop operating procedures and work instructions to monitor and measure those environmental aspects.
* Interfaced with the IT group to make the site Environmental Management System work instructions and training materials accessible to all company employees through an intranet-based website.
* Developed a Microsoft Access chemical inventory database for 2000 chemical materials, to include on-line MSDS documents and automatic generation of the site Business Plan Hazardous Materials Inventory packet.
* Chaired a site Hazardous Materials Control Committee to review and approve all chemical purchases.
* Created training materials and acted as trainer for 43 hourly and salaried employees in chemical safety, hazardous materials management and DOT hazardous materials transportation.
* Led Six Sigma Green Belt project to develop a RoHS compliance database to include customer request/response log, product base materials and compliance status, and interface to QAD Mfg/Pro Enterprise System Bill of Materials.
* Interfaced with regulatory agencies (EPA, OSHA, AQMD, Water District, Sanitation District), divisional and corporate management in order to maintain compliance with air, water and waste regulations.
* Created an operating manual for the wastewater treatment facility.
* Monitored hazardous waste manifests and wastewater treatment facility operations.
* Participated in Corporate Audits of waste disposal sites and site Safety Audits.

Transferred by Hughes Aircraft to the Irvine R&D group of Packard-Hughes Interconnect.
* Successfully contributed to the process development and transition to production of the Gold Dot product line, a new and innovative approach to manufacture flexible printed circuitry.
* Following successful transition from development tanks to a pilot production line, successfully completed equipment selection, installation and startup of eight new automated process lines/systems in the new manufacturing facility in the $17,000,000 Gold Dot Manufacturing Facility.
* Assisted with creation of the site ISO 9000 Quality Management System.
* Developed a Microsoft Access database to track production operational and product quality data.
* Participated in Lean Manufacturing activities such as 5S, PFMEA, DOE, Fish Bone Diagrams, Flow Charting, SPC, Motion Time Studies, Failure Analysis, Trend Analysis, Pareto Charts and Shainin Red X.
* Performed designed experiments to develop parameters for Palladium/Nickel plating and surface treatment processes; created operating parameters and work instructions.

* Implemented computerized logs to facilitate statistical analysis of manufacturing processes.
* Instrumental in the selection, installation and start-up of a new, safer, automated enclosed etchback line, a new and sulfuric peroxide rack stripping system with copper recovery as saleable copper sulfate crystals.
