Ensuring compliance with the applicable requirements, for maintaining the units within classification and regulations. NOV 07 – APL 08 Jack Up Barge, Holland
MAINTENANCE SUPERINTENDANT
Supervise and authorize the installation and acceptance commissioning, of all mechanical equipment and associated systems, on two new build Jack Up Barges. Rig construction in Batam, Indonesia.
MAR 07 – NOV 07 Mermaid Drilling, Bangkok, Thailand
CHIEF MECHANIC
Tender Barge, working in the Gulf of Thailand
Head of department, responsible to the Rig Manager / Rig Superintendent for efficient running of all mechanical equipment onboard. Training of all national mechanical staff.
Responsible for implementation, of new planned maintenance system on Barge. Forward planning and procurement of spares, for breakdown repair, maintenance and refit schedules. Control of maintenance budget.
JUNE 06 – MAR 07 Kcaduetag, Baku, Azerbaijan
MAINTENANCE SUPERVISOR
Production platform, working off the coast of Baku, Azerbaijan.
Supervise, coordinate and participate in the proactive, preventive, corrective and troubleshooting maintenance activities for plant and associated equipment.
Participate in the planning, scheduling and execution of shutdown and major overhaul maintenance activities. Monitor and ensure that all maintenance jobs are carried out safely and within the scheduled time frame.
Assist the maintenance team in establishing priorities, making improvements on work methods, evaluating modification proposals and failure analysis.

Jack up accommodation rig, working off the coast of Denmark.
Head of maintenance department and supervision of all tasks undertaken on rig, by mechanics and electricians. Carried out all jacking operations, in-charge of all procurement and PMS of the rig. Deputy OIM duties carried out as required.

Responsible for maintenance and breakdown repair of all diesel plant, hydraulic and pneumatic equipment. For 12 months during this time, was visiting various Semi's assisting with upgrades and major repair project's. Gained valuable experience working on different types and classes of rigs.

Working in local shipyard, repairing and overhauling various plant machinery, on boat's and ships, all over Scotland. Responsible for sea acceptance trial's on vessel's less than 60 feet.

Employed as Second Engineer, onboard North Sea oil rig standby vessel. Responsible for watchkeeping, maintenance and breakdown repair of all onboard systems.
