Responsible for the technical and vocational training of over 700 personnel and the implementation of a bespoke Company-wide competence assurance programme covering technical, support and middle management to satisfy ongoing development and Yemenisation. Brought in as one of the key members of the project team, my responsibilities included the following:
Champion the set up of the Company training facility and implemented a technical/workshop curriculum for national technicians (O&M), admin and engineering personnel totalling 300. Outline the project metrics and participate in high level EG Government and Shareholder meetings to ensure Company T&D plan is realised, accepted and progress reported. Responsible for managing the development and implementation of plant specific competency programmes for all O&M disciplines. Called upon by senior management to design and implement a national deputy director development program. A key player with HR in succession planning and drawing up nationalisation timelines for all disciplines. Advisor to Company directors on development systems and strategies. Lead the set-up and administration of the virtual training assistant (VTA) back office tool for the corporate learning management system. Drive integration of services between partners to maximise resources and facilities.
