Plant Design Engineer.
03/2007 - Present CB&I Lummus Global (CLE) Cairo, Egypt. +

Lummus is a company which belongs to CB&I Inc. (Chicago Bridge and Iron Company) from August 2007 and before was formerly known as ABB LUMMUS GLOBAL. CB&I Lummus provides engineering, procurement, and construction (EPC) services for upstream and downstream refining, gas processing and petrochemical industries.

 Able to make piping studies of a designated area (incl. revamp work) with the use of plot plans, process diagrams, process or mechanical data sheets, etc., in accordance with instructions, specifications, and standards. Taking into account: supporting requirements, the allocated materials in the bulk MTO, HSE requirements, operational and maintenance requirements, ergonomics, etc.
 Able to determine the layout of equipment with respect to process, maintenance, operation, constructability and cost, and to determine the location of connection on equipment.

 Skilled in designing all types of piping sys¬tems (AG) and deliverables for oil & gas projects including: Layouts, plot plans, General Arrangements and isometrics Using PDMS (Plant Design Management System) and AutoPlant.
 Able to assist the MTO engineer in preparing the piping bulk MTO by estimating pipe-lengths, nr. Of elbows, defining lines and area breaks, etc.
 Communicates and interfaces with other project design and engineering disciplines.
 Able to supervise and technically direct a small single discipline team of engineers and designers.

Projects:

 APRIL 2007-JULY 2007: Three months assignment in The Hague office, Netherlands, working for "Sasref" project (Saudi Aramco shell Refinery Company) in Al-jubail, kingdom of Saudi Arabia, Type of facility: ultra low sulphur diesel hydrotreater.
 JULY 2007-September 2007: two months assignment in Lummus office in AL-KOBUR (LALCO.), kingdom of Saudi Arabia working for "Sasref" project (Saudi Aramco shell refinery company) in Al-jubail, kingdom of Saudi Arabia, Type of facility: ultra low sulphur diesel hydrotreater.
 OCTOBER 2007- MAY 2008: At Lummus Cairo office (CLE) working for Al-jubail petrochemical company (kemya) + (Saudi Basic Industries Corporation-SABIC) in Al-jubail, kingdom of Saudi Arabia, Type of facility: Benzene Mitigation.
 JUNE 2008 – November 2008: At Lummus Cairo office (CLE) working for Nagarjuna project. This project is relocating a refinery from Germany to Cuddalore site located at the east coast of India and adding new process units, offsites and Utilities.
 DECEMBER 2008 – AUGUST 2009: At Lummus Cairo office (CLE) working in the detail engineering for gas buffer storage in four salt caverns, leached in a salt dome, Groningen gas field.(Holland). Type of facility: natural gas storage
