Present Employment

1. Organization: Sonatrach /British petroleum bp /Statoilhydro (Algeria- 28/28 Rotation)

Designation: Control room Technician (July 2003 onwards to till date)

* Gas treatment TEG facility (gas dehydration), package, utilities, gas turbine.
* Understand and ensure the safe, efficient and effective operation of the process and safety systems and equipment to avoid unnecessary shutdowns and meet or exceed availability and production targets, including hydrocarbon production and export, utilities, ESD / F&G, emergency systems.

* Pre-commissioning and commissioning of complete gas treatment plant. Flushing, hydro testing and pneumatic pressure testing of piping and vessels.
* Operational testing if sub systems and equipments process and instrumentation drawings updating in line with actual work carried.

Control Room Operator:

* Operate, monitor and Control all plant units efficiently and safely using the DCS control system (Yokogawa CS3000) with PLC based safeguarding system.

* Operate monitor/control of overall plant process parameters and trouble shooting of related problems.

* Interpret disturbances in the process, instrumentation and process equipments, analyze possible effects and take appropriate action and communicate any anomaly/fault to the supervisor.
* Identify faulty instruments and arrange rectification with minimum disturbance of the plant operations
* direct activities of outside operations technicians from the Control Room.
* Normal start-up/Normal Shutdown Compressors Station (Turbine Mark 5 model PGT25DEL).

Responsibilities:

* To safe operation DCS panel and monitor the process parameters and adjust all instruments (LIC/PIC/TIC/ FIC....etc)
of Gas treatment unit,
* Coordinate with maintenance personnel for routine jobs.

* Monitor the isolation certificates / PTW work permit system and ensure jobs carried out as per procedures.
* Coordination with well & Production technicians, well testing,
* Coordination with drilling crew and wire line operation (Expro).
* Follow procedures, Pre start up activities, to safe plant normal start up/ or normal shutdown.
* Control and handle plant upsets and emergencies. Lead operation staff to start plant after S/D.
* Maintain detailed records of daily activities and analysis to keep product quality on specification.
* Keep good communication with plant Manager and Technicians and another neighboring plants and Control Rooms.
* Send daily reports to supervisors and maintain good communication with shift staff and provide handover for next shift
To follow-up.
* In all the emergency cases, to follow the procedures of Emergency and the IMG (incident management guide)

JOB PROFILE: Senior Process technician (September 99 to July 2003)
* Gas plant operations, gas compression facilities, glycol regeneration unit. Isolation and de-isolation of equipments for maintenance, aware of plant safety equipments.

* Make regular routine checks of all equipment and units to ensure that they are functioning correctly in accordance with standard operating procedures. Report all equipment and instrument defects and leaks immediately.

* Safety Management: Understand and comply with the installation Safety Case and relevant statutory requirements; understand, operate and comply with the Company's Permit to Work system and safe working practices.
* Start-up, Operation and monitoring of well head and gas processing plant. It consists of 3 phase separator (gas, condensate and produced water ), gas coolers, Dehydration inlet separator,C3 & C4 separation, CO2 remove, glycol contactor, condensate dewatering, condensate, glycol regeneration package, fuel gas package, pig launching and receiving chemical injection system etc.

* Lining –up, start –up and operation of well heads, opening and closing well heads. Operations of WSSV, upper / lower master valve –wing valve choke valve etc.

* Make regular routine checks of all equipment and units to ensure that they are functioning correctly in accordance with standard operating procedures. Report all equipment and instrument defects and leaks immediately.

* Check and record in the plant log sheet readings such as gas flow, temperature and pressure, and record unusual occurrences. Start, check and stop pumps locally according to instructions or emergency.

* Assist in isolating, draining, purging and handing over equipment for maintenance on inspection and check the equipment for its correct operation.

* Unload chemicals into tanks for injection, start and adjust the flow rate of chemical injection pumps as required. Check the water /oil interface level in separators/tanks operate their pumps locally.

Senior Operator (UTILITIES)

* Carry out all operational functions in utilities systems as per procedure. Responsible to start and stop the pumps, including fire water pumps, as and when required, and change over the heat exchangers as per the operational needs.

* Responsible for the operation of nitrogen generators, Waste water treatment plant, De-ionized water plant (Reverse osmosis), water softener, Drinking water, distribution of Natural gas, plant and instrument air system, storage and handling of chemicals (unloading of different chemicals in to storage tanks for the dosing of water/waste water treatment plant and adjust flow rate of dosing pumps as per instruction) and Calibration of PH electrode.

* Isolate and de-isolate pumps and heat exchangers with permits for maintenance (mechanical, electrical and instrumentation) and maintain the running hours of the rotating equipment.

* Maintain all quality standards, Maintain logbooks and records. Keep good house keeping and safety procedures.

LPG Plant Technician (LPG LOOP).

* Operation of LPG recovery plant and its utilities. It consists of gas drying regeneration, gas chilling, fractionation, LPG storage and recycling.

* Routine checking of all equipments and identifying any abnormalities and recommending suitable corrective measures. Isolation of equipments for maintenance purpose, de-isolation and start up after completion of maintenance. Manual operations in case of failure of pneumatic instruments etc.

* Changing over of gas dryers, compressors, pumps etc. Monitor, operate, test and maintain accurate log of process equipment.

* Operation of LPG pumps, Chillers, Heat exchangers, HP and LP Separators, Gas Filters, knock out drum, Flash vessel, LPG Sphere.

* Undergone periodic plant and personnel safety programs on different subjects like fire alarms, fire extinguishers and fire drill course, personnel protective equipments etc. Maintain good house keeping.

* Utilities: Operation of instrument air system, Nitrogen generator, air dryer, flare system and fire water system etc. Manual operation in case of failure of pneumatic instruments. Restart the process equipment when tripping and activities of emergency shutdown and start-up.

Designation: Process Technician (may 95 to February 98):

* Carry out all operational functions in process and utility systems as per procedure. Associate with breakdown jobs, routine and preventive maintenance. Inform operational problems and changes to shift leader and after receiving their instruction, act accordingly.
* In case of power failure or fluctuations, immediate action should be taken to safeguard the plants and inform to shift leader for assistance.

* Storage and handling of chemicals. Chemical dosing (Corrosion Inhibitor, Biocides, Flocculants and Cleaning agents) and Water Analysis.

Terminal Technician:
* Operation of natural gas terminal consists of distribution and controls the parameters to the consumers demand.
* Routine checking of all equipments likes gas filters, pressure reduction station and monitoring the parameters- on flow computer. Isolate and de-isolate the equipments for maintenance jobs. Maintain logbooks and records etc. Preparing daily/weekly/monthly reports.
Designation: Pipe line operator:
Work with the American company "Bechtel" Compressors Station Operator (Turbine Mark2), (construction- commissioning – start up of the compressors stations) Nuovo Pignone centrifugal compressor, normal start up/ normal shutdown, Make regular routine checks of all equipment and units to ensure that they are functioning correctly in accordance with standard operating procedures. Report all equipment and instrument defects and leaks immediately. Gas turbine, weekly checking of Fire & gas system and general alarms Working in the control room in the necessity.
