PROFESSIONAL HIGHLIGHTS:

February 15 2007 – Today MULTISERVICIOS RJT LTDA

I am working as a consultant into operations: Drilling, well completions, workovers and production engineering. Since June I am dealing with ZIGMA Petroleum into the position Operations manager. I have to deal with 5 drilling rigs and 2 workover and completion rigs. The biggest operations are inside our field, Abanico (Kappa Resources), and others in the oil industry here in Colombia. Since December 2007 I moved to manage an exploration and production project inside Kappa Resources which is a company from the same group. The biggest responsibility is to recover two exploration areas which produced at the beginning but collapsed due to paraffin production, I already stimulated successfully some wells, and now I am managing an exploration program in the same area, this area I presented success of production and financial, as well I have to deal with the human resources appropriate for this project. Since September 2008, the company belongs to Pacific Rubiales Energy.

Coalbed Methane project near one of the biggest open pit coal mine of Latin America. The position was operations manager, My responsibility was to design drilling wells near the coal mine, so I had to decide with the mining geologist the location for the CBM wells, then complete the wells, and plan production testing. The project is success from the moment I decided to resign. This company purchased the same project where I began CBM experience in Colombia, Andina Electrica y Gas EU.

In this project I began to work in Coalbed Methane (CBM)projects in Colombia and USA. It was ran by Geomet Inc from Alabama. I was working in drilling the pilot wells for exploration of CBM (Gas) in the best coal zone of Colombia where the coal cores gave us the biggest gas contain. 5 of the wells were hydraulically fracture, but the results during the production test show us the fracture technique with a gel was creating a skin damage, so the fracture with nitrogen was evaluated but unfortunately any of the companies offered this type of fracture in Colombia neither in Venezuela (1998 – 2000), so we evaluated the possibility to have open holes and complete with slotted liner the coal seams intervals. This idea was developed in the last 6 wells with strong success, the wells pumped water during the production testing with beam pumping. Including my responsibilities beside the operational one was to deal with the government of Colombia, deal relations with the local community, manage service companies and manage with technical and not technical people working in the project. This project was inside a big open pit coal mine project so I had to manage relations and technical evaluations with the coal mine people in order to keep the wells far away from the mining project The last position I had before the project was purchased by Drummond Ltd was General manager.
