A) Corrosion Mitigation
The main goal of my job in this branch, to prepare and follow up the corrosion mitigation programs and its related schedules in order to protect the field facilities (wells tubing/casing, pipelines, production facilities and tanks), to achieve this goal the following procedures takes place:

Using chemical inhibitor injection (batched/continuous):
q Evaluate corrosion rate (blank and with inhibitor injection) for the wells and process facilities in order to evaluate the corrosion inhibition efficiency of the products and its optimization dose.
q Issuing the necessary requisitions and tenders to secure the fields needs from the corrosion inhibitors and participating in the tender evaluation (technically & commercial).
q Follow up the performance of the corrosion inhibitors and their injection dose.
q Preparations of the statistics and economical studies relevant to damage due to corrosion of process facilities and cost of replacement with a new one.
q Create a database for corrosion and its measurements in all of the above mentioned operations areas in order to give a powerful history for each corrosion case which help in the preparations of its corrosion mitigation programs.
q Checking up of corrosion monitoring system, retrieving different types of coupons (strip, ladder strip & scale) using manual retriever (Atel & Carproc), hydraulic retriever (Roohrback Cosasco & Corrocean) and also checking up of corrosion monitoring system by corrosion probes (ER&LPR) (Roohrback Cosasco & Corrocean).
q perform and participation in scale and corrosion inhibitor squeezing in down hole to prevent scale formation problem in oil production wells.
q perform risk assessment study of production wells, sea lines, pipelines top production facilities and storage tanks.
Using Cathodic protection:
q Design, installation, start up, polarization, monitoring and maintenance of cathodic protection system {impressed current, sacrificial anodes} for pipelines, jetties, tanks and vessels.
q checking anodic or cathodic interference, trouble shooting to determine the current leakage & coating defects.
q participate in C.P. monitoring surveys (Cips, Dcvg & Sacs) with cu/cuso4 electrode, data logger instrument (stray-log), for on-shore pipelines and sealines.

Using material selection.
q design and select material of submersible pumps (shaft, impeller).
q material selection for vessels and down hole equipment's.
q design and select material & installation of piping network for corrosion chemical injection.
q design and select material & installation of piping for fire fitting network.
q design and select material & installation of piping for fire fitting and wastewater networks.

B) Chemical treatment

The main goal of my job in this branch to get the best treatment performance with the lowest cost through the following procedures:
q Studying, reviewing, following-up, and diagnosing the problems of the various chemical treatment plants in treatment facilities in q Water injection plants q Production and treatment of the crude oil.
q Production, treatment and liquefaction of the natural gas q Treatment and liquefaction of the associated gas q Following up the process conditions and give the necessary recommendations to decrease injection dose of the chemicals.
q Arranging for lab tests & field trials for new products and/or companies in order to increase the competition between the suppliers.
q Create and update database for the performance of the currently used chemicals.
q Provide The Field with the necessary chemicals needed to secure the treatment operations in all company fields through issuing the necessary requisitions and relevant tenders evaluation.
q Participating in the Technical and commercial Tenders evaluation to apply the cost of performance basis.
