First I would like to start off with saying thanks for taking the time to review my letter and resume. I am a hard working, fast learning, honest individual, and feel that I would be a great asset to your company.
While employed with Halliburton Energy Services I worked for the Solids Control Division. I have an understanding of the solids control process and its effects on the mud system. Also I was in charge of ordering, shipping, maintaining proper shaker screen levels, and tracked revenue from screen sales in the Gulf of Mexico. I also performed mixing on the fly jobs for deepwater projects with up to three way blends while having to maintain mud weight and chloride levels.
While attending the Halliburton Mud Engineering School we were instructed on the many aspects of mud engineering. Some of which were mud checks, pilot testing, determining contaminations, treating contaminations, how to deal with lost returns, taking kicks, and ballooning. I also took Well Control and Completion fluids during my ten week course. I have also taken a course on Environmental Compliance.
I will do all that is necessary to improve my skills as a mud engineer and asset to the company that I am working for. I have my Passport and TWIC card. I am willing to travel wherever needed. Responsibilities including but not limited to running mud checks, treating mud system with proper chemicals, maintaining adequate quantities of chemicals on location, coordinating the shipment and receiving of products used for the well, properly filling-out mud reports, and communicating with and answering questions to the Co-Rep.
Some of the problems that I have encountered while drilling is lost returns (we had to recalculate the mud weight and displace before drilling ahead with no further losses), ballooning (we kept getting gas as high a 2,000+ units while drilling and while pumps were off well was static, decreased mud weight, displaced, and drilled ahead with no problem). I have run Oil Based and Water Based Mud Systems on land and Offshore.
