Purpose / Role:
Responsible for the overall management of the company's Construction teams from Construction Managers, Construction Engineers and Construction Supervision. The primary role of the function is to ensure that all aspects of construction, completions, commissioning and the handover work scope is being effectively performed by the EPC contractors. The contract is being completed in accordance with Company's stipulated standards. All EPC work scopes are being performed under the control safety and quality standards and expectations set by the client and the company.

Key aims and objectives:
* Ensuring contracts assigned projects are managed to required standards.
* Ensure the EPC contractors are managed within there contract scope with respect to the construction, completion and commissioning activities and that no deviations are applied by both contractor and company's team.
* Functional Management with all construction team ensuring regular communications are conducted with the team
* Functional Management with the contractor's team ensuring annual appraisals is conducted to highlight performance in the team and apply the necessary action to either rectify or enhance.
* Functional Management ensuring systems are in place to manage holidays, expenses and training
* Reputations Management ensuring company are recognized as a competent and professional organization with the resources and systems to effectively Project Manage for the client.

To work as a part of team and ability to interact effectively with a variety of project management personnel & multiple cultures with flexibility to the site requirement & goal orientation & have strong interpersonal skills, a professional demeanor & ability to work independently.
Prime responsibilities and duties:
* Promote HSE awareness and ensure that all Company's HSE requirements are implemented and adhered to.
* Provide effective and practical construction input into study, FEED, and contract action phases of projects to ensure constructability aspects of project execution are adequately considered via the construction team.
* Ensure that construction hazards and risks are fully considered by designers and contractors and that the appropriate mitigation actions are implemented during the project execution phase.
* Ensure that the construction teams maintain efficient and effective communications between the Contractor and COMPANY, ensuring that all reporting requirements are met.
* Provide notification of any potential commercial risk or opportunity to the Project Manager for further action.
* Develop close working relationships between all assigned construction team members and the HSEQ team to provide a consistent approach and effective resolution of issues. Encourage the same degree of cooperation within the Contractor organization.
* Develop a good team spirit within assigned company personnel and encourage team working with the Contractor and other groups.
* Ensure that construction team are maintaining the quality at an acceptable level, including all required records and tests; thus ensuring that pre-commissioning, commissioning and handover are achieved.
Allied occasional duties:
* Provide construction input into discussion groups, new initiatives, etc. as required.
* Provide support and expertise as required on incident reports.
* Provide assistance to the engineering group as required.
* Participate in the development of company's initiatives and procedures
* Participate as part of the Overall Project Management Team developing initiatives and applying effective housekeeping Management for the project.

HSE Management / Quality

Oversee establishment, certification and maintenance of required documents as per HSE Management system
Devising and executing plans for identification of hazards, conducting spot inspections on work sites and thereby reducing accident incidents
Overseeing investigation of some particular incidents to assess the damage and find out areas of concern as well as conduct HSE meetings and presentations to disseminate learning's.
Handling implementation of Occupational health program as well as carrying out Health Risk Assessment of various job categories and job activity assessment at site.
Ensuring compliance to quality standards and maintaining all the relevant documents.

Team Supervision:

Coordinating manpower planning competency building for implementation of new projects.
Responsible for team building and providing effective leadership to realize the potential of every member of the team for delivering quantifiable results.
Organizational Details:

Since Sept' 2006 – Till Date with MASARCO (The main contractor of TOTAL E & P YEMEN) as a Construction Manager.

Spearheading construction activities for Temporary Gas Compression Project, Flow lines Construction services, Well Hook-up, Manifolds, Headers etc including testing and commissioning in coordination with TOTAL E & P Yemen.

Overall general project deliverables including full compliance with contract scope of supply & agreed technical requirements, timely delivery & quality as well as achievement of the expected profitability of the project itself. Focus is on translating customer needs / requirements into detailed project plans shared with company functions involved & driving internal execution to meet the targets, managing cross-functional teams, developing enduring faithful customer relationships, & ensuring/ improving project profitability.

Since May' 2005 – Aug.2006 with ATE LLC, (The main ODC Contractor of Petroleum Development Oman LLC) as a Site Manager, Marmul

Spearheading construction activities for Rig Location services, Flow lines, high pressure gas pipe lines, Construction services, Well Head Hook-ups, Overhead Electric HT Line, Manifolds, MSV's, Headers, Well Test Units And Chemical Injection Skids etc including testing and commissioning in coordination with PDO

Oversees project safety and quality programs, plans, organizes, coordinates and control projects in accordance with the established policies, procedures, systems and Requirements.

Administering HSE & QA/QC activities and ensuring compliance to the same.
