Worked as an experienced development miner. Gave direction to less experienced miners and discussed safe approaches to assigned projects before starting. Gave coaching on how to evaluate areas and projects for hazards before approaching. How to remove and eliminate hazards before proceeding with work. Gave a talk on gases and the potential hazards of them. Talked with another employee about a different way to approach a different piece of running equipment, lamp signals, and making yourself seen. Trained another miner on Elphintone 30 ton haul truck, equipment card walk around operations and hazards involved with the operation of it. Trained rock bolter on proper installation of rock bolts and how they support and retain the ground.

Worked as an experienced miner. Discussed hazards with other miners, different types of ground and how to support it. Talked with others about gases and discussed escape ways, trained other workers on safe techniques and operations of jackleg drills, proper use of explosives and handling of explosives, and communication with others.
Genesis Mining Co 02-04 to 10-04
Leadman experienced miner. Helped to train people that were mostly inexperienced miners, Taught scaling procedures, general safety practices, working in an underground environment, potential gas hazards and recognition of gases, escape ways, hazard recognition, notification of hazards, instilling proper thought patterns for safety, proper equipment operations, training others to operate jumbo drills safely, operate long hole drills safely and to keep their working environment clean and picked up. Trained others on fall arrest and fall restraint and when to use them.

Leadman miner, taught others safe procedures for long hole drilling, installing cable bolts and working in inverse stope conditions, trained people on the safe operations of remote muckers. General safety procedures in working in inverse stoping operation. Instructed others on safe procedures for running jacklegs and slushers in slusher stopes, proper equipment walk around, proper equipment operations, instructed people on the hazards of gases and the use of TMX gas testers, evacuation procedures and escape ways. Instructed people on ground support and bolting pattern and procedures. Showed safety procedures to others for working in captive stopes.

Miner, taught green miners lamp signals and operating procedures, scaling and recognizing and avoiding pinch points. Proper equipment inspections and operation of types of equipment.

Attended commercial aviation school. After earning pilots license I helped to teach other students in preparation for an instructors license, taught other pilots in the procedures for glider towing and in case of radio failure the signals from the glider pilot and the emergency procedures, instructed others in flying complex aircraft and the use of checklists and their importance. Earned a commercial pilots license.
Skydive Lost Prairie 07-95 to Present
Chief pilot, training other pilots in skydiving operations, the effects on aircraft in skydiving operations, evaluating pilots in their skills and safeness of flying and abilities in stressful situations, radio communications. Evaluating pilots on their ability to brief skydivers on aircraft operation. Wrote manuals on operation of specific skydiving aircraft and also wrote checklists specific to skydiving aircraft. Gave briefings to pilots, skydivers, and passengers on emergency procedures.
Asarco Inc 05-86 to 04-93
Miner, trained others in the types of equipment that I operated, walk around on equipment, and scaling. Taught others safe procedures for operating long hole drills, 35 ton haul trucks, and explosive loading equipment.
