I have enclosed my resume for your review and consideration.
As it indicates, I have over 20 years experience in construction, starting with the U.S.N. Seabees, and then in civil construction working my way up from an Ironworker to General Superintendent for major construction companies.
Although familiar with a variety of construction projects, my special area of expertise lies in highway and bridge construction. There is literally nothing in that area of construction that I can't do.
I have always prided myself that I have achieved the level of general superintendent and take my work very seriously. I truly enjoy working in the field. I like to instill a sense of pride in a job well done in all who work with me. I have coordinated crews of 2 to 200 with an excellent safety record. I have a good working knowledge of plans and specifications, construction equipment and maintenance, can work within budget and scheduling restraints, and if there is a dollar to be made, I will do my best to make a dollar ten.. I would like to attribute my success to hard work and common sense.
Based on a history of successful employment, a solid sense of dedication and professionalism, and old-fashioned ethic of hard work, I know that I would prove to be an immediate and valuable asset to your organization. I can furnish other references upon request. I am willing to relocate as necessary and ready to go to work immediately.
I would appreciate the opportunity to further discuss your needs and my qualifications and would make myself available to meet with you at your convenience.
