Process Engineer, Sulphur Vent Line Replacement, Belle Chasse, LA, ConocoPhillips Refinery: Performed preliminary hydraulics and hydraulic calculations and researched products (ventilation blowers, compressors and gas liquid separators) and manufacturers.
Process Engineer, RSRD for Offsites, Belle Chasse, LA, ConocoPhillips Refinery: Performed preliminary hydraulics and hydraulic calculations for PSV's, also performed walk-downs of offsites and tank farm area for all area PSV's. Composed RSRD report for Gasoline and Distillate Blending Area.
Process Engineer, Deep Cut, Delaware City, DE, Valero Refinery: Performed preliminary hydraulics and hydraulic calculations and computer simulations for an upgrade and expansion project to replace internals in the vacuum tower.
Process Engineer, SCR Upgrade, Delaware City, DE, Valero Refinery: Performed preliminary hydraulics and hydraulic calculations and computer simulations for project to upgrade the selective catalytic reduction to remove NOx emissions.
Process Engineer, Alky Blow Down Orifice Resize, Chalmette, LA, ExxonMobil Refinery: Performed preliminary hydraulics and hydraulic calculations and computer simulations for project to resize the orifice in the caustic pre wash drain to make sure that the degassing vessel will not overpressure and fail. A restriction orifice contained in the pipe run was also sized in the verification. The line size verification was completed using hydraulic calculations performed on Microsoft excel and also Pro II simulation.
Process Engineer, LPG Drain Re-Route, Chalmette, LA, ExxonMobil Refinery: Performed preliminary hydraulics and hydraulic calculations to determine whether or not the fluids being drained from individual tanks to tank 9016 would be able to back flow into tank 9008 due to high back pressures. This was accomplished using Microsoft Excel Spreadsheets and SimSci Pro II program.
Process Engineer, COB Turbine PSV Valve Sizing and Line Sizing, Chalmette, LA, ExxonMobil Refinery: Performed preliminary hydraulics and hydraulic calculations and computer simulations for project to correctly size and choose type of relief valve for separate steam lines from 3 different compressors and turbines. A total of 3 different pressure relief valves were sized and chosen to be purchased for use in the relief of 175# steam from individual compressors.
