A lean manufacturing of post assembly of inline fuel injection pump is proposed. Since, the efficiency of the present post assembly line is hindered by the problems like over production, zigzag material movement, lack of flexibility among operators and large surface area requirements for machines. Project includes process planning and quality control and implementation of principles like process orientation, perfect quality, standardization, flexibility, pull principle, transparent process, poka yoke, visual management.
