Leading the mechanical engineering of ship-board heavy lifting cranes and mechanisms in accordance with the Lloyd's Register of Shipping codes of practice and American engineering standards. I have produced reports to support design concepts and underpin floating systems. I have produced calculations and defined acceptance criteria to CLAME, API RP2A - LRFD and ANSI/AISC 360-05. The documents have included structural steel strength calculations in addition to rotating equipment power requirements and selection.
