First of May 2008 until now: I have been working for Dar Alhandasah consultants (Sahir and Partners) in new Potash project close to Dead Sea in Jordan. There are two Projects (that related to Potash Company) which are Solar Ponds Project and Cold Crystallization Project. Dar Alhandasah is the designer and consultant for those mentioned projects.
Position: Senior Instrument and Control Engineer.
Duties:
1- Follow up the design of the Projects Specifications and drawings related to Instrument and Control System.
2- Follow up the design of instrument and systems required for the Projects, and review all materials submittals from the contractors and give the final decision for them.
3- Study all shop drawings related to Instrument and Control systems (DCS, CCTV, Fire Alarm System, Control Cables, cable trays, field Instruments, enclosures, and etc).
4- Supervise the site work execution and correct the contractors to follow the specifications and the standards (ISA, BS, API, NFBA, ASME and etc).
5- Study and design the projects P&IDs following ISA standards in the design.
6- Prepare all technical reports for Instrument and Control department.
7- Prepare and review the Projects control philosophy.
8- Co-ordinate and review the control system design (software and hardware) with the contractors and vendors and push them to follow the control philosophy and design standards.
9- Make selection and supervise the installation of field instruments, cables, enclosures, trays, hazardous area installations and grounding.
10- Setting the budget and timelines for the Department.

A. Lead the field instrument team in troubleshooting and solve the problems
And issue the reports.
B. Make commissioning for DCS, gas turbine and compressors systems in the gas plant.
