OFFSHORE PLATFORM PROJECTS (FROM JAN-2001 TO TILL DATE):

1. Project: ConocoPhillips North Belut WHP Project
Operator: ConocoPhillips Indonesia
EPCI Contractor: Nippon Steel Construction Indonesia (NISCONI)
Duration: Oct-06 To till date.

The project was a LSTK project for EPCC of two wellhead platforms for ConocoPhillips North Belut WHP Project. Each wellhead platform was engineered for 30 wells, manifolds, sand handling & sand separation system and utilities, with unmanned operations and topsides weigh approx. 2300 tons, with one WHP connected to the upcoming NBCPP.

Job Responsibilities:

- Lead Piping Engineer & Technical Coordinator for change orders (all disciplines). CV accepted by ConocoPhillips from the Start of the Project
- Procurement Engineering for the complete project, Attend PDMS review meetings, and all engineering meetings on Piping with client. Identify engineering issues and propose engineering solutions.
- Worked with Interface Engineering for Bridge Piping, pipeline, drilling related and operation group related and handled and resolved the Interface issues with other EPCIC contractors.
- Preparation of various Punch Lists – like PDMS Model completion punch list, Isometric HOLD list, Vendor data updation punch list, etc were prepared and monitored. Further follow-up with other disciplines was done for expediting.
- Identification of change orders with respect to Contractual Scope of Work, preparations of deviation notice for raising change orders, preparation of all back-ups and resolution with client. Work with other disciplines to expedite the change orders with client.
- Assist project management team as technical coordinator for change order expedition with company.
- Assist vendor in case to justify valid deviations to specifications. E.g. Guided & assisted vendor to validate asbuilt configuration of 20" DSS 300# Senior orifice using FE analysis conducted as per ASME Sec-VIII Div-II Appendix 4 Article 4-1, and followed up with client for final approval.
- Review of Vendor drawings & deliverables for all piping items and also perform IDC for other discipline vendor deliverables.
- Generate piping engineering drawings, like key plans, plot plans (equipment layouts), piping plans, pipe support location plans and complete IDR and get approval from client.
- Check and correct the isometrics as per specifications, PDMS model and good engineering practice.
- Material control supervision for qty to procure, modification due to change orders.
- Attend to site queries and give timely resolution that would ensure minimum reworks, identification of construction/destruction scope, marking limits for yard & offshore scope, etc.
- Other responsibilities are as per Working Skills mentioned above except the bidding job.
- Worked as Project Engineer, in lieu of actual Project Engineer, involved in PMT activities, Interfacing with ALL disciplines for balance work, Follow-up to close the OPEN issues and represented NISCONI in front on COMPANY & OTHER CONTRACTORs.

2. Project: 9 Well Platforms Project

Brief Description of Project:

The project was a LSTK project for construction of 9 new wellhead platforms for Re-development of Mumbai High South Fields, with project contract valued at approx. USD 225 Million (INR 1006 Crores).

This project was completed ahead of schedule.

Job Responsibilities:

- Worked as L&T's Lead Piping Engineer in design center with Engineering Consultant Aker Kvaerner Powergas. India.
- Won the 1st rank in Lessons Learnt competition across the SBUs within L&T during 9WPP project.
- Other responsibilities include all the activities listed under working skills.

3. Project: MHB&S 4 Well Platforms Project -1

The project is a LSTK project for construction of 4 new wellhead platforms, with three tripods which are connected with existing four-legged platforms with a bridge & 2Nos submarine pipelines at Mumbai High Fields, with project contract valued at approx. USD 222 Million (INR 1000 Crores).

Job Responsibilities:

- Working as Lead Piping Engineer in design centers.
- Other responsibilities include all the activities listed under working skills.
- Helped our consultants to develop the PMS for Incoloy / CRA cladded piping & finalizing the valve material specifications with vendors / approval from client.
- Engineering Co-ordination from two engineering consultants (L&T Valdel & AKPG) & follow-up with ONGC for approvals.
- Consulting for other project disciplines, for various engineering issues & to ensure that project progress is expedited.

4. Project: MNW Process Platform Project

Brief Description of Project:

The project was a LSTK project for construction of MNW Process platform (Water Injection cum Gas Compression)in Mumbai High North Field & bridge connected to BHN Process Platform. This project was executed by ONGC to enhance the capacity of Oil fields in Mumbai High & the contract valued approx. USD USD 235 Million (INR 1046 Crores).

Job Responsibilities:

- Worked as Lead Piping Engineer in design center
- Worked as L&T representative in Design center at KHI, Japan for Process Gas Compressor Module & helped KHI piping team to get pass the stress analysis of compressor piping system. Responsible for overall engineering progress of the module engineering during the deputation.
- Corrected the stress analysis procedure for bridge piping & ensured huge cost saving to L&T, which resulted in timely load out of bridge due to deletion of expansion loops in the bridge piping. Won the Know-Net Guru Award (1st rank) for the learning contributed on this exercise with L&T E&C division.
- Consulting for other project disciplines, for various engineering issues & to ensure that project progress is expedited.
- Timely arrival of all the material at yard for piping fabrication

- During setting the Inhouse Engineering, we developed Inhouse Piping Design Manual, Specifications, Standard Operating Procedures, IDC Matrix, and Templates for Datasheets, MTOs, Drawings, Stress Analysis Reports, etc.
- Engineering Department Workflow had been prepared, with PIPING discipline workflow drafted & finalized by myself with Input / Output links and sorting Priority & Non-priority deliverables. This was done in an elaborate Workshop with other disciplines.
