A Performance improvement contract. 4 rigs in Hassi Messaoud area. Deep wells, total losses at top hole, high pressure shales and salt water flow, complex reservoir character. Loss-kick cycles. Hard rock drilling. Long radius horizontal wells in excess of 800-1000 m drain. Implement complete QHSE system from scratch. No LTI over 1.5 years. Additionally drilled 4 exploration wells in different areas with same complexity. Last exploration well 9 days ahead of curve beating the best performance among 300 wells in area. Assisted the drilling manager in the preparation of contracts for services, material planning, AFE analysis, tender preparation and evaluation. Prepared detailed drilling budgets and tender documents for third party services. Also, evaluated and negotiated contracts as a team member and was required to follow up the material procurement, drilling performance and AFE; actual against planned. Furthermore, requirements of the position included the coordination of main service contractors at the rig-site, and the supervision of operations from office. Completed two wells to 11800 feet and 11350 feet respectively in NC 188 concession, saving 15% in well savings from the approved budget in the first well, and 20% in the second well. In addition, worked as acting operations manager during off times. 3 exploration concessions very remote to office 400-1200 kms. NPTs well below targets.Covered Superintendent position as well.
