1. SNAMPROGETTI SPA, MILAN, ITALY.
Company overview: Snamprogetti Spa, with headquarters in Milan- Italy, is a globally renowned EPC contractor in the field of Refineries, Petrochemicals, Fertilizers, LNG etc. executing projects on a LSTK basis.
Designation: Piping material engineer.
Duration of employment: June 08, 2008 to till date.
I'm presently working as a piping material engineer with Snamprogetti Spa on direct contract hire basis. I have worked on the following projects.
* Manifa Core Hydrocarbon Facilities (Current) - Client: Saudi Aramco, Location: Saudi Arabia.
* Taneco Hydrocracker (Project dissolved later)- Client: Taneco, Licensor: Chevron Lummus Global, Location: Russia.
Job Activities:
* Reviewing the fluid list issued by the process department for piping related parameters.
* Calculation of pipe wall thickness under internal pressure in accordance with A.S.M.E B 31.3.
* Calculation of maximum allowable external working pressure in accordance with UG – 28 ( ASME Section VIII Division 1 ).
* Preparation of piping classes and valve data sheets in compliance with Saudi Aramco engineering standards (SAES), Saudi Aramco material specifications(SAMSS), International industry codes and standards and good engineering practices.
* Preparation of purchase specification for bulk items viz. pipes, flanges, fittings and valves in compliance with SAES, SAMS, International codes and standards, and good engineering practices.
* Preparation of purchase specification for special items like steam traps, strainers, pad flanges, angle piston valves, block branches etc.
* Technical bid evaluation of bulk items viz. pipes, fittings and flanges.

Duration of Employment: February 21, 2003 to May 29, 2008.
During my five and a half years tenure with Maire Tecnimont, I worked in the piping material department on the following projects:
* Polyethylene plant-250 KT/Y, Client: National Petrochemicals, Licensor: Basell, Location: Iran.
* LDPE plant –350KT/Y, Client: Borealis, Licensor: Borealis, Location: Austria.
* Polypropylene Plant- 180 KT/Y, Client: Nizhnekamzk Nefthekim, Licensor: Basell, Location:Russia.
* Polyethylene Plant –230 KT/Y, Client:Nizhnekamzk Nefthekim, Licensor: Basell, Location: Russia.
* High Density Polyethylene Plant - 230 KT/Y, Client: Salavat, Licensor: Basell, Location: Russia.
* Carbon Di Oxide Recovery plant-450MPTD, Client: IFFCO, Licensor: MHI, Location: India.
* Polypropylene Plant-2x300 KTY, Client: IOCL, Licensor-Basell, Location-India.

* Preparation of purchase specification for special items like steam traps, strainers, pad flanges, angle piston valves, block branches etc.
* Technical bid evaluation of bulk items involving interaction with the vendor and procurement.
* Technical bid evaluation of special items involving interaction with the vendor, procurement and layouts.
* Review of vendor drawings for bulk and special items.
(ii) Deputation to Tecnimont Spa, Milan, Italy:
I was deputed to Tecnimont Spa-Milan twice for a duration of three months during 2005 and 2007. I worked on the following two projects during my deputation to Tecnimont Spa and the job activities are given below.
* HDPE plant-180 KT/Y, Client: Sabic Europe, Licensor:Basell, Location:Germany.
* LDPE plant-350 KT/Y, Client:Statoil, Licensor:Basell, Location:Sewden.
ADDITIONAL INFORMATION:
* Proficient at MS Word, Excel.
* I'm also well versed with the software package MARIAN version 6i. In brief, Marian is an oracle driven software which forms an interface between PDS, Material Requisition and Piping classes. The following are the activities which I'm very well versed with in MARIAN version 6i.
-Preparation of new commodity parts, groups.
-Preparation of new geometric tables, geometric formula, geometric rule, linking of geometric rule with commodity codes, creation of new assembly structure, short codes and option codes.
