Jan 2009 – till today – MODEC management systems – Maintenance Superintendent on FPSO Cidade de Rio de Janeiro, offshore Brazil – Maintenance management of topside oil/gas production plant, power generation plant (4 SOLAR gas turbines of each 11MW capacity), HP gas compression plant, marine diesel power plant, offloading systems etc. Using AMOS PMS software for CMMS and stock control.

Feb 2008 – Jan 2009 – MODEC offshore production systems, Singapore – Commissioning manager of FPSO TSJOC offshore Vietnam. Commissioning of topside and marine systems, steam power generation plant (boiler and turbines of total 10 MW capacity), gas compressors and cargo pumps. Preparation of pre-commissioning/commissioning procedures, schedule of mechanical completion and commissioning, resource plan, forming the team and execution of pre-commissioning and commissioning of all plants on shore. Control commissioning documents/dossiers and handover to operation team. Preparation and execution of onshore field tests. Follow company PTW system and ensure safety at workplace.

April 2007 – Jan 2008 – MODEC offshore production systems, Singapore -- Senior project engineer of FPSO Cidade de Niteroi, offshore Brazil, owned and operated by MODEC Management systems. Assigned as topside engineering lead. Lead a team of 6 package engineers, 3 discipline engineers (structural, E&I and piping). Check and approve all engineering documents produced by contractor (L&T Valdel, Bangalore, India). Ensure progress of deliverables as per schedule to production site. Coordinate all engineering issues with production site and vendors of all packages. Organize module 3D review by client and follow up on corrections. Issue MTOs in good time to procure materials by procurements, and coordinate and help clear vendor TQs.

June 2004 – April 2007 – VESTAS Canadian Wind Technology – Site Manager – Manage a site facility of approx. 215 wind turbines, parts inventory of approx. $4 million dollars, 10 work trucks, 22 employees. Prepare annual budgets and obtain approval, keep costs under control, manage customers (owners of wind farms) affairs, monthly reports to head office in Portland OR, participate in continuous improvement process, assist other sites to implement good methods, carry out internal audits in other sites, recruit, train and assess technicians, inventory controller and office manager. Ensure practice of safety at work place, all necessary safety related training and certification for technicians. Implemented a strict inventory control system that resulted in reduction in loss of nearly $200,000.
Reason for leaving – Had to move to Calgary for family. Hence quit the job.

Jun 2002 – Aug 2003 – MODEC LLC, Houston (through agency) – Marine superintendent – FSO Komo Kribi 1, offshore Cameroon, owned and operated by EXXON MOBIL. Assigned with various responsibilities – Check project specification and make necessary corrections for renegotiation of prices, prepare commissioning procedures for marine systems, turn over coordination between construction and commissioning, systems owner for 12 of the marine systems (supervise construction, commissioning and handover), assigned offshore Cameroon to lead offshore commissioning team to clear punch lists on many deck systems, resolve major problems with cargo pumps (large centrifugal pumps) bearings and mechanical seals.
Reason for leaving: One year contract job.

Feb 2000 – Feb 2002 – AUDEX, Singapore, Maintenance services to petrochemical plants – Maintenance manager – Marketing and obtaining service contracts in petrochemical industries, recruit/train and form a team of maintenance technicians, carry out maintenance work in customers plants, provide specialist services such as CMMS implementation, vibration monitoring/troubleshooting/problem solving of rotating machinery, installation supervision, turn-around maintenance, rotating machinery laser alignment etc. Provide on job training to all new employees as per Singapore Govt. MOM rules, ensure safe work practices as per customer safety regulations. Implemented Condition based maintenance system and CMMS in CRODA Singapore. Break downs were reduced almost nil within one year.
Reason for leaving: Company shrinking due to depression and reduction in business.

NOTE:

I have given above my experience in the past decade only, but I have about 3 decades of total work experience -- Marine (19 years), Petrochemical (5 years), offshore (3 years) and wind power (3 years). Following are specific skills worth mentioning:
