Diesel Hydro Desulphurization:
The purpose of the Diesel Hydro Desulphurization Unit is to remove sulfur and nitrogen as a hydrogen sulfide and ammonia, respectively, by a catalytic hydrogenation from the feedstock, and produce diesel oil product with improved combustion properties. In addition, Unionfining is designed to saturate olefinic and aromatic compounds while removing other contaminants such as oxygenates and organometallic compounds.

Tame Selective Hydrogenation process & Gasoline Hydro Desulphurization.
The objective of the TSHP and GHDS process is to remove sulfur while avoiding substantial octane losses. Product light light gasoline from unit will go to the TAME unit for further treatment while hydrotreated gasoline will go to the storage.
Plant licensors for GHDS – TSHP Unit is Axens IFP. Plant capacity is 26500 BPSD and unit has a turn down capacity of 50%.

The objective is to increase the octane of the SHP/InAlk product by increasing the concentration of 2-butene in the SHP section product. The SHP/InAlk products will be a C4 raffinate stream, a light alkylate paraffinic stream and a heavy alkylate paraffinic stream.

The purpose of the Platforming Unit is to increase the RON through catalytic reactions in Platforming Reactors.

Continuous Catalyst Regeneration (454Kg/Hr)
The purpose of the Continuous Catalyst Regeneration Unit is to keep Platforming Unit in Continuous Operation.

Current Position: Field Operator DHDS

Duties/Job Description:
* Resume shift duty and take charge from the outgoing Field Operator and on completion of shift duty, handover charge to the incoming field operator.
* Check and identify fault in unit, allied equipment and informs to DCS Controller / Shift Engineer / Shift Supervisor for raising work order. Co-ordinate with maintenance department and ensure that the repairs have been carried out to the satisfaction.
* Ensure that the unit is working according to the specified operating parameters and instruments are in working condition. Check equipment for any abnormal sound and / or vibration.
* Commission or isolate equipment as per the instruction of Shift Engineer / Shift Supervisor.
* Check Lube oil level, pressure, temperature and cooling water flow, temperature of operating pumps, turbine and compressors. Record readings of Lube oil change, Lube oil consumption, frequency of repairing on the prescribed log sheet.
* Check fired heaters for proper flame of fuel oil / fuel gas burners. Adjust for proper flame height. Avoid dripping of fuel oil from burners and gas leakage from fitting.
* Periodically operate standby pumps or compressors in order to ensure its reliability according to standing instructions.
* Take and send sample of various products and feed streams to laboratory for testing according to the prescribed schedule.
* Check safety devices / equipments to ensure that all safety devices / equipments are energized / in working order.
* Check and get rectified steam and hydrocarbon leakage in the area.
* Record all observations related to unit and allied equipment during shift hours in the logbook.
* Co-ordinate and communicate with DCS Controller for steady operation and timely availability of utilities and keeping abreast Shift Supervisor of any abnormal condition at Process Unit(s).
* Ensure good housekeeping. Use applicable PPEs while working at the plant.
