Details: This project is developed for Indian Armey at MCEME (SDD) Secunderabad. To train Indian javans on different situations of Attack and slaughter technique (eg- Ambush, guerilla, QRT (Quick Reaction Team), Range Butt).
12 shooters are allowed to shoot 3 Large screens.
Javans are allowed to fire to screen where Vega or Di-Guy scene will be rendered, Where Rifle co-ordinate is analyzed by camera which is tacking Laser points (Provided by Dinalog MIL library for Image processing). Also rifle recoil is provided by external pneumatic compressor.
Shooters performance is analyzed based on Laser trajectory before and after firing. (HAT Analysis)
There is One IIS which is controlling all other systems also provides user interface for Instructor, One CGI which will do rendering and mathematical calculations based on scenario loaded on.

Video segmentation, Background elimination, Motion detection, Geometrical depth analysis, Gaussian blob and corner detection, Neural Network support for trajectory predictions, contour and planar subdivision is done.

Multi-Processor Distributed Parallel Computing Flight Simulator Design and development Sep to Dec 2006

Environment: Windows XP, LINUX, Windows NT
Details: This is the project for upgrading old socket based simulator. In this project, a master controller that automatically controls various systems on distributed environment also manages network traffic. To get optimum data communication between systems, there is a 3 layer Neural network for load balancing.
Master controller can execute any code on Mathematical Modeler or Graphical rendering machine or from Data acquisition system using Remote Procedure Call.
Data is also transferred using named pipes or sockets. To achieve reliability if one of the machine is down then system can execute that routine on another machine dynamically.
Data is held by master controller, and has the right to do whatever code it wants to execute. Coordinating procedure is given to Controller as a fuzzy logic form or normal sequential input. RPC is mainly used in this app.
DCOM and COM is used to do server coding, and TCP/IP protocol is used to do data communication.
3D modeling and rendering is done in OpenGL on Unix Platform.
Blimp- Simulation and GUI development May – Aug 2006
Research Areas: Graphical rendering of 2D image, ActiveX and Dll development for display systems.

Details: In this project, an application will simulate Flying balloon artificially on computer environment. On backend Fortran mathematical model (as a dll) is providing data as a shred memory to MFC display environment. Various gadgets and 3D model of Blimp is drown on user screen. Data and functions are transferred to VB as an ActiveX control. Engine speed, altitude, roll angle, air speed and climb rate is calculated dynamically. Also Video surveillance is done by video interface.
Also has one private air-traffic control system to monitor blimp path. Whole system is controlled by joystick.

Face Recognition Academic - Final Project
Areas Involved: Digital Image Processing, Pattern Recognition, Artificial Neural Networks, Computer Vision
Software Used: Visual C++ 6.0, VB, MATLAB.
Environment: Windows NT
Details: This project is on the field of Computer Vision. Recognizes human face in facial image from Digital camera or saved images. It will give about 65 to 70% true positive results, and has Philips SAA713X video encoder.
They have following modules, before initialization training of system is done to improve the performance.
1) 1:1 comparator: - This module tries to match two normalized images with automatic elimination of background auto reduction of noise in image, and then compared directly with database images by perception neuron. Test case shows that if the test image is perfectly fits to target image then this approach will minimizes extra unused processing power.
2) Hough transformation for circle and line: - Used in finding oval or straight lines in image to identify facial feature like geometrical location of eye, nose Head width and mouth etc. Also it is the most basic approach to find geometrical shapes in image. Performance greatly depends on amount of sharpness of the image.
3) Geometrical approach: - Here basically to find various facial points by masking method. Sliding resized window approach is added. And then comparing for max hit to real life points. Here minimum 16 facial nodal points are found and to find average template of facial feature map vector is used.
4) Skin calculation and face finding by sampling: - To eliminate inconsistency in mug shot images and get max yield of rec process here I calculate most probable skin value (RGB Red and Blue). Then on this sub domain It's compared with the average human skin color map to get candidate skin region. Best 10 matches are sent to successive elimination module. There it compared to get the human candidate face by Neural Network with pre-calculated face template weight vector as a weight matrix.
5) Template face recognition: - It is based on Eighenface template matching. Here single image weight is mapped and projected on set of 25 eigenvectors. Also we made averaging and approximation to get consistency. In projection there will be 5 matches, and then it's fed for construct new set of eighen vectors, also polling is done. It is a method needs little processing power to get result, it eliminates extra training time needed in Back Propagation method.
6) Edge detection: - It's a crucial part to segmentation and reassembly to store objects hierarchical order. It's done using sobel and canny edge detection method. The Gaussian distribution matrix and edge direction map is fed. To maintain contagious edge we use nearest neighbor pixel method.
7) Image enhancing program: - In this module image is normalized by elimination of noises, intensity inconsistency, size of image, resolution, background elimination, texture normalization etc. To meet CIE brightness, contrast and alpha normalization we use successive passes. Here we use 3rd party library to do Fourier transform.
8) Flow based recognition: - Here basically intensity flow detection, also by finding order of gradient descent. Most commonly 2nd, 3rd order intensity ramp. To get direction of intensity flow Back Tracking approach is used at random points, also it reduces extra processing needed to process entire image and works fine for consistent images.
9) Back propagation method: - It's a 4 layer and 2 hidden layer system. Training is done using delta rule, perception learning and artificial specific heat method. 2000 cycles needs to train. To improve the performance there is 2 stages of recognition. 1st stage neural network will generate patterns (like a facial fingerprint or Genetic pattern in Western blotting technique) and 2nd stage getting result by decoding these patterns.
10) Bi-Directional Associative Memory: - Use of Neural Network to store data, for a temporary time. On a real life, memories for a object recognizer is not relevant for a period of time. To store data, feed outputs of Neural network to input layer along with strobe to feed new values to NN.

Details: In this project is done on 2 parts.
* For Offline (Used by Banking officials): It is developed for Internal use of a bank. ADO Data control is used for database connection, and daily transaction record is maintained in private database.
* For Online applications: This application that serves the WWW clients to access the database of Co-Operative banking system. Java Data Base Connectivity is used, There are different User Modes to modify and view the contents of the database.

Details: An interface between the two computers was implemented in this project, thus enabling various application modules to be developed on top of it.
