„X Rehabilitated Titanium/Bimetallic Urea Strippers, first ever project successfully accomplished in Pakistan and second one of its kind in the world, by supervising Quality Control Plan including welding inspection, NDT and special testing for HP equipments. Fully participated in all activities right from feasibility study to final fitness-for-purpose testing required for highly corrosive process conditions.
„X Developed indigenous NDT technique to carry out health evaluation of Primary Reformer Catalyst Tubes, based on the results of failure analysis of similar tubes. The technique had been effectively applied to evaluate condition of in-service reformer tubes.
„X Independently investigated the repeated failures of high pressure ammonia piping at urea plant and recommended actions to rectify the failures which resulted in controlling the outages.
„X Rectified the chronic problem of 'exhaust temperature difference spread' of the gas turbines. Fabricated an assembly to ensure equal gas flow through the gas turbine's nozzles which helped in resolving the issue for good.

Co-Generation Power Plant, Pakarab Fertlizers, Pakistan
At present, I am responsible for erection of 30 MW Co-generation Power Plant for Pakarab Fertilizers Ltd (Pakistan). It includes installation of 03 Gas Turbine Generators (make: General Electric, Italy) and 03 HRSGs (make: UMAG, Germany).
As Project Manager, my job responsibility includes overall completion of the project by co-coordinating between various interfaces (OEM, vendors, contractors, various disciplines of own company and top management). Installation of Boilers is an EPC contract with M/S UMAG, Germany while Gas Turbines and BOP installation is being undertaken directly by Project Team led by myself. The installation phase is almost completed whereas commissioning phase is in progress.

I served in Petrofac E &C (Europe), UK as senior metallurgist in Metallurgy & Corrosion Group. Petrofac is a leading provider of services to oil & gas production and processing industry. Details of FEED and other jobs carried out in Petrofac, Woking office were as follows:

The Karachaganak Field is one of the largest onshore sour gas-oil-condensate accumulation in the world, located in Kazakhstan. Petrofac carried out FEED for the development of Phase-III.

„X Carried out corrosivity assessment and corrosion allowance calculations based on H&MB, well fluid data and design basis documents, using latest computer model for corrosion calculation, ECE4 software.

Fauji Fertilizer Company (FFC) is the largest Ammonia-Urea Complex of Pakistan, operating urea, ammonia and utilities plants. As Lead Inspection & QC Engineer, my main responsibility was to ensure efficient, reliable and safe operation of the plant by Assets Integrity Management, including all plant facilities as well as supply gas pipelines. „X Carried out corrosion monitoring of piping, pressure vessels and critical equipments of the plant including High Pressure Urea Equipments.
„X Evaluated health of under ground pipe lines & coating/wrapping. Supervised periodic surveys of under-ground gas and water pipe lines along with their M&R activities, based on the recommendations of survey report.
„X Generated reports based on corrosion monitoring results & surveys along with recommendation of action plan. Supervised M & R activities subsequent to the recommended actions.
