PROFESSIONAL ACCOMPLISHMENTS

RECOMMENDED changes in JEG Pipe Support Standards for load ratings on Rods and associated Hardware items to match current MSS (Manufacturers Standardization Society) load ratings. RESULT: Cost savings for client companies provided by allowing smaller rod sizes to be used.

DEVELOPED historical sales tools and directed MIS to implement them into job/quote program. Recommended making the historical information more relevant by including order and ship dates on jobs and quoted time periods on pricing submittals. RESULT: Increased sales and consistent pricing on projects along with increased profit margins on small & fast orders.

FORMULATED and RECOMMENDED sales follow-up tools with outside sales personnel. This method was used to confirm receipt of quotations and ask questions to determine the nature of the inquiry and how the quotation compared to competitors. RESULT: Increased communication with the customer, reducing the number of quotes never received and determining further opportunities to quote the entire product line.

INVESTIGATED and ANALYZED market conditions to price products for maximum profits. Awareness of market conditions increased opportunity to optimize pricing and set proper delivery periods to minimize labor cost. RESULT: Increased profit margins with adjusted pricing based on historical sales and adjusting delivery periods based on shop loading.

DEVELOPED and SIMPLIFIED standard marketing tools. Existing software costs were minimized to printing and copying expenditures of pennies per presentation. Created major products list, products line brochures and standard feature list of primary products. RESULT: Marketing and promotional materials were readily available to be sent to customers with each quote increasing multi-faceted product line visibility.

TRAINED new sales personnel on commercial terminology and language. Contractual language requirements needed to be clarified. Potential consequences of committing to incorrect contractual language could reduce profit margins and expose the organization to costly losses. RESULT: Increased profit margins and reduced negative view of company by customers.
