Position: Sr.Engineer Mechanical Rotating & Static Equipments

Period: Since 14 June 2009.

Responsibilities

1) Receiving equipments, handling, storage and preservation. Co-ordination with material controllers in identifying spare parts for both static and rotating equipments.

2) Preparing foundations for equipments installation like, Chipping of foundations, Padding/shimming to meet the elevation given in the civil drawing.

3) Install equipment, leveling, Master leveling of rotating equipments, before grouting inspection, pre coupling alignment of rotating equipments, final coupling alignment, final grouting,

4) Monitor activities of sub contractors, planning, and material feeding to subcontractor.

5) Liaise with company QA/QC client QA/QC engineers in clearing inspection of equipments according to API-686 codes and standards for rotating equipments.

6).Liaising with QAQC & HSE dept and ensure the quality and HSE requirements for the project at every stage of project execution.

8) Handling non shrink epoxy grouting materials for grouting high energy pumps and compressors.

Responsibility:
1. Responsible for overall control of the project at site related to mechanical activities
2.Liaising with QAQC & HSE dept and ensure the quality and HSE requirements for the project at every stage of project execution.
3. Motivating and bringing quality and safety awareness among all involved & obtain the necessary inputs as per the planned schedules to meet project targets.
4. Ensure timely initiation of corrective and preventive actions on customer complaints/Non conforming situations during the project execution.
5. Monitor progress of the job and report to client and OD / attend client meetings and liaise with QAQC and HSE departments for any corrective actions necessary to meet the customer satisfaction.
6. Reporting to Project director/ VP on day to day work progress and request for additional resources to meet the work load and client site instructions.
7. Responsible for HSE of people working at site, meeting client standards for the camp offices & work site. Focal point for HSE issues investigations and effective implementation of HSE inspection and HSE audit findings.

(a) Waste Heat Recovery Boiler, Capacity 303 TPH @ 56 barg-working pressure
Vendor: Technotherm corporation Inc, Tulsa Oklahoma, USA.
Involved in Erection supervision of boiler body (side, floor, roof panels) coils such as B.F.W preheater, condensate coils, HP evaporator, First & 2nd Stage super heaters & radiant shield, ammonia injection grid, SCR catalyst bed, steam drum, stack, insulation, lining flue gas baffles, interconnecting piping, accessories like fuel injection units, burners augmenting blowers with ducting.
Boiler total tonnage: 1396 MT
Cranes used:
1) 500MT capacity crawling type for main lifts
2) 210MT capacity crawling type for tailing.
3) 100MT capacity truck mounted type for medium installations.

(b) Reactor charge heater:
Vendor: ITT Kirchner Italia, branch S.P.A Milano.
Involved in erection supervision of reactor charge heater body (radiant side, roof, floor panels) reactor charge coils, convection part with coils, breaching assembly, stack with dampers, accessories like soot blowers, burners & interconnecting piping.
Heater total tonnage: 760MT
Cranes used:
1) 200MTcapacity crawling type for main lifts
2) 65MT capacity truck mounted type for tailing & medium installations.
Also involved in co-ordination and clearing of inspection test plans for both the equipments with QA/QC dept of both client & SAMSUNG. Involved in coordination for mechanical and chemical cleaning of boiler(water side) with vender

(c) Expediting of steel structure items for PDH & PP reactor structures from steel structure vendor.
