OBJECTIVE:
My intentions are to resume a career in a technical\supervisory position that provides challenges to problem solving skills, technical knowledge and organizational abilities while providing fair financial rewards. (Salary\Rate Negotiable)
QUALIFICATIONS:
I have more than 10 years experience in the oilfield ranging from roughneck, derrickman, driller, drillstem tester, 4-point tester and packer tech including testing, treating, production, injection, disposal and ECP packers as well as some fishing experience. I have a sound understanding of process and function from onset through completion in drilling and completion of a well that allows me to make good determinations of a given situation, which in a few instances has placed me in disagreement with peers and superiors. A case in point took a petroleum reservoir engineer a new software package and 2 weeks of study to completely verify my original evaluation. This experienced petroleum reservoir engineer conducted a conference call to verify my education and background with my district and regional managers, a senior vice president (for this major company) and later, myself. I also have some experience as a mudlogger and in outside sales. Aside from the oilfield, I have several years experience in heavy industrial, agricultural and textile equipment that includes manufacture, fabrication, assembly, setup & delivery, installation, warranty service & repair, renovation, and R&D. This includes welding (MIG\Stick), machine and tool operations as well as usage of an extensive list of hand, air, electric, ballistic, office, electronic and computer equipment, much of which I can rebuild or repair as needed. At one time I also operated my own business in the public sector. I have held various advanced safety, first aid and CPR certifications while active in the oilfield and as an armed security officer and can update to current levels as specified by an employer without difficulty.
EDUCATION: High School Graduate (some college);
My education since High School has been self taught and tested through a state sponsored agency (Texas\SPAG-in the late 80’s) to graduate levels in science, science technology, engineering and engineering technology. The reason that I have not returned to college is that I have a difficult time with the “social engineering” that some professors seem to base their grading systems. I appreciate cultural differences a great deal, but consider it completely improper and wasteful to be indoctrinated and graded on what and how one thinks socially and politically, in lieu of what one has paid good money to learn. I’ve found both time and efforts best rewarded by focusing on the subject matter and it’s application to a career through academic study and practical experience.

Recently: I was employed as the Branch Supervisor for a major multi-state distributorship and service center of fasteners and power (pneumatic\ballistic\electric) tools, in Amarillo, Texas. My duties here are inclusive of all operations, services and repairs with the exception of outside sales and AP\AR accounting.
UPDATE:
Recently I have worked as a mudlogger in training until gas prices dropped, at which time the company that employed me eliminated the mudlogging program, terminated all related employees and reduced their overall workforce and pay scales throughout the company. Since then I have been promoting sales and service in new and used truck, trailer and utility beds for an independent Knapheide distributor in Amarillo, Texas.
Other Experience:
I have worked as the Facilitator to one of the Board of Directors for the State of California, Protection and Advocacy, Incorporated. This agency is federally mandated for each state and charged with the investigation and assessment powers in situations concerning people with disabilities and proposing remedy, policy and procedure to their respective state legislatures and oversight in adherence to the American’s with Disabilities Act. I also helped to maintain the Board Member’s website, counselled visitors to the site and assisted in other duties as an Internet Researcher.
I was also a member of the Consumer’s Advisory Committee for Harbor Regional Center, which is another California State agency charged with providing timely assistance to people with developmental disabilities that they are not able to secure for themselves.
