New 16” x 36 Km (ASME B31.4, API 5L X60, PSL2) Jet A1 Fuel Pipeline system from the QP Refinery to New Doha International Airport (NDIA) through Station BSV-3 to accommodate the future forecast of Jet A1 fuel demand for the NDIA.
- EPC OF O2 / N2 PIPELINE BACKBONE IN RAS LAFFAN, GASAL, Qatar
Oxygen (14” x 13 Km, ASME B31.8, L415MB (EN 10208-2: 2009)) and nitrogen (14” x 15 Km, ASME B31.8, L245NB (EN 10208-2: 2009)) pipeline backbone in Ras Laffan, as an extension of the existing network towards future GASAL (joint venture between Qatar Petroleum, Qatar Industrial Manufacturing Company and Air Liquide) customers, with provision for tie-in to GASAL future facilities and further future extensions.
- EPC OF NATURAL GAS SUPPLY TO THE INDEPENDENT POWER PLANT (IPP) IN AL UDEID AIR BASE, PowerTech, Qatar
The Independent Power Plant (IPP) at Al Udeid Air Base (AUAB) operated by PowerTech to provide gas supply to drive the gas turbines, a new 8” x 6 km (ASME B31.8, API 5L X42, PSL2) Buried Natural Gas transmission pipeline proposed from Station-T3 (Part of QP’s property) up to a new gas transportation facility at the IPP.
- ADCOP- ABU DHABI CRUDE OIL PIPELINE PROJECT (HABSHAN- FUJAIRA PIPELINE) PROJECT, IPIC, UAE.
Habshan to Fujairah - International Petroleum Investment Company (IPIC)- a total of 48” x 404 Km (ASME B31.4, API 5L X65, PSL2) pipeline with main and intermediate pumping stations, scraper tarp stations and sectionalizing valve stations.
- REPAIR, REHABILITATION AND UPGRADE OF WATER INJECTION INFRASTRUCTURE, RUMAILA OIL FIELD, BP, IRAQ
BP and PetroChina have been awarded a Technical Service Contract for Iraq’s Rumaila Oil Field. The water flood system consists of a network of interconnected carbon steel pipelines and flow lines of approximately 150Km with sizes ranging from 48” to 10” (ASME B31.4, API 5L X60, PSL2).

Detailed design for the new Low Sulphur Fuel Oil (LSFO) – 24” x 180Km (ASME B31.4, API 5L X52, PSL2), Gas Oil (GO) – 24” x 180Km (ASME B31.4, API 5L X52, PSL2) and Fuel Gas (FG) – 2 x 48” x 360Km (ASME B31.8, API 5L X52, PSL2) pipelines required to supply SABIYA and DOHA Power Stations for Kuwait Oil Company (KOC)
- MUSSAFAH WATER TRANSMISSION SCHEME – MWTS, MUSSAFAH TO ABU-DHABI – LOT M, ABU DHABI, UAE
The Abu Dhabi Transmission and Dispatch Company (TRANSCO) intends to modify the existing Lot F Musafah to AI Wathba Pump Station (Lot M package M1A) and implement the DN 1600 x 32 km Ductile iron (DI) pipeline (Lot M, Packages M2 & M3) transmission pipeline from the Lot F Mussafah Pump Station to Abu Dhabi City.
Responsibilities:
- Work with the pipeline design team on onshore basic engineering, FEED, detailed design and EPC projects.
- Overall responsibility for the man-hour & schedule monitoring and control and quality of the work produced.
- Understand the contract quality management system and ensure these requirements are met.
- Actively communicate with other disciplines to optimize areas of interface, during the design development, review and check processes.
- Self-motivated, cost conscious and be able to interface, communicate effectively with others.
- Review of design reports, specifications and drawings to ensure the compliance the project requirements.
- Strong technical knowledge and practical working experience in the design and execution of pipeline, maintenance and repair methods.
- Working closely with the company experts to resolve the most difficult and valuable pipeline problems/issues.
- Review of FEED pipeline documents and prepare scope of work.
- Support design/drawing office personnel with specialist pipeline engineering inputs and participate in discipline design reviews.
- Fully conversant with pipeline design codes (API5L, NACE, MSS SP, ANSI/ASME B31.4/31.8, ASME VIII, ASME IX, ASME B16.5/47, atc).
- Experience with DI, GRE pipelines and hot tapping of pipelines, experience in shutdown tie-in work to existing lines.
- Develop pipeline design basis, prepare pipeline material, coating, and testing and installation specifications.
- Perform engineering for procurement activities like material requisition perform technical bid evaluation / recommendation and vendor data review/drawing approvals.
- Perform pipelines design activities such as mechanical calculations including line pipes and bend material grade and wall thickness and buckling check.
- Prepare Wall thickness calculation in according with ASME B31.4 / ASME B31.8 and Road crossing calculation in according with API 1102.
- Prepare upheaval buckling calculation, buoyancy calculation and anchor force calculation as per the relevant codes and standards.
- Prepare material take off (MTO) and bill of materials.
- Plan, coordinate, supervise and control the activities of the assigned contractors and personnel engaged in the execution of the project activities throughout all phases of the project during engineering, procurement, fabrication, transportation, construction / installation and hand over.

ü The portions of line to be tested are marked up in the P&ID as well as Isometric drawings.
ü The test pressure with which line need to be tested is identified along with the test medium.
ü Removal of all accessories in the line prior to the test.
ü Accessories that support hydro / Pneumatic test are fitted like manifolds, pressure gauges, and temporary spools and blinding of lines at test limits as per marked up P&ID.
ü Testing & maintaining the pressure inside lines for hydro testing with allocated test mediums and by using soap liquid the lines are checking in Pneumatic test.

ü The lines are checked according to isometric drawings, operational requirements, and ease for maintenance and P&ID requirements.
