Formed Swiss trading company for international petroleum company and
managed the company for one year.
Directed turnaround of refining, marketing and trading activities in
U. S. for international oil company that resulted in operations showing
a profit in excess of $3 million within 6 months as compared to losses
of over $10 million over the previous 12 months.
Negotiation
Assisted the Ministry of Petroleum & Minerals, Saudi Arabia, in negotiations for Neutral Zone concessions
Negotiated processing agreement with major European refiner which
resulted in net profits of $500,000 over three-month term of contract.
Negotiated barter transaction for 2.5 million barrels resulting in profits of $4.5 million.
Acquisitions/Divestitures
Evaluated diversification opportunities including: refinery and
terminal acquisitions in Europe, Africa and the Caribbean; laser
manufacture in Switzerland; the manufacture and maintenance of air
conditioning systems in Saudi Arabia; and solar energy research and
development in France.
Negotiated sale of refinery for 20 percent above appraised value.
Assisted client in the sale of refinery resulting in a sale at 80% over
the best offer before my assistance.
