Personal Statement

I am a highly motivated and reliable person with more than 8 years experience in the Oil and Gas Industry with Document management system (DCC), Safety and environmental awareness, Administrative proficiency, computer literacy, self motivated, self direction/ development and very well-organized.

I have excellent command in English & people communication skills, very familiar and expose to Engineering & Project environment. Knowledgeable of job related systems/ procedures. Personally I have the ability to learn & build up on experience rapidly, able to handle & work under pressure and deadlines. Apart from that, I am also a trained First Aider. I can easily adapt to new environment and very well independent.

Summary of Present Role

 Currently based in Lagos, Nigeria. Initially offered as Lead Project DCC. Responsibility includes leading, setup and implementing EDMS for the first time in the company as well as documentation procedures for the newly awarded projects by the company. Previously, there were no EDMS implemented in the company and previous projects. Promoted from Lead Project DCC to Lead Corporate DCC on January and setup EDMS for corporate specification, procedures, policies and guidelines as well as provides trainings when requested and/or newcomer join the company. Also, act as an advisor to all existing Project DCCs and assist them in problem solving, mentoring and trainings.

WORK EXPERIENCE:

January 2012 – Present, Nigerdock Nigeria PLC-FZE, Lagos (Corporate Division)/Designation: Lead Corporate Document Controller, Nigerdock PLC-FZE

  • Report directly to Managing Director. All DCCs in 4 Projects (OFON, Eiffel, DSO, SFDP 2) reports to me including 1 Assistant Corporate DCC.
  • Setup procedures, policies, work method statement for the organization in relation to documentation processes
  • Conduct trainings for all staff in all department in Nigerdock as well as newcomers
  • Advisor to all Project DCCs and conducting EDMS trainings for the project team, clients, contractor and newcomer in the project
  • Assist in problem solving either related to EDMS and/or project documentation process
  • Responsible in setting up HR system for Nigerdock and work closely with Nigerdock HR Manager in populating information, doing process maps and data input in the system with HR Manager. Appointed as Super User for the HR system

  • Assist with data management processes, procedures and standards within a data management environment using technical and domain expertise together with initiative to deliver the best possible results for PML.

  • Ensure team members comply with corporate data management strategy, framework, and Standard Operating Procedures.
  • Provide Operations support by creating, updating & maintaining documentation within EDMS.
  • Process documentation (documents, reports, procedures, manuals, guidelines etc) by means of assisting, producing, reviewing, updating, registering, tracking, retrieving, issuing, distributing and reporting upon document/drawing status in accordance with methods/procedures implemented.

             Project: Berantai Project (Part-time & Advisor)

  • Report to Berantai Project Services Manager and assist them setting up a temporary document management system until final system is in place
  • Monitoring in-coming and out-going documents between Petrofac KL and Petrofac UK
  • Work closely with UK’s Berantai Project Manager & UK’s DCC in managing the documents for the whole Project
  • Create folder structure and Document Monitoring Sheets and Procedure for Berantai Project as well as maintaining MDRs for Berantai

June 2005 – February 2009, Schlumberger Oilfield Services, Bokor & Samarang Project, KL (Integrated Project Management Team – IPM Division)/Designation: Document Controller for 2 Projects (Bokor Project & Samarang Project)

  • Reports to Project Manager. Being the only DCC that supports and handle 2 projects for Schlumberger mainly Bokor and Samarang Project for 5 consecutive years
  • To effectively control the management, revision and issue of client’s documentation with full responsibility for quality & delivery
