Our Senior Cost Analyst jobs offers you an exciting opportunity to help our Utility clients provide a safe and reliable source of Electric power to heat our homes and schools, run factories and provide goods and services that we all depend upon. Each day you will use your Cost Management expertise to help our Clients meet the Electric power needs of their customers. You should be a self motivated degreed Cost Analyst with at least 10 years Power industry experience, including a minimum of 5 years work experience on major projects (typically exceeding $100M in value) and a desire for personal and professional development with each cost management project.

Our Senior Cost Analyst:

• Develops Schedule of Values (SOV) for Subcontract Scopes of work.
• Develops construction earned value work books in support of the SOV's developed on a subcontract by subcontract basis as part of a project set up function.
• Ensures the development of the earned value sub tasks are in alignment with schedule activities and or the reverse.
• Performs financial analysis for internal and external Monthly Reports
• Assists in Earned Value updates using CPAC (internal system) for both mid month and month end
• Reviews ETCs and discuss with Project controls team
• Reviews subcontractor and vendor change requests on all issues that may impact the schedule and work with project team to mitigate any possible risk exposure
• Monitors change management and set up additional task codes when required
• Supports change management company policy/procedures and ensure compliance with the contract
• Performs Cost management audits to ensure compliance with established policies and procedures
• Participates in development of cost management techniques, processes or systems.
• Facilitates,evaluates and maintains historical information . Uses information to produce Project Controls system improvements.
• Reports to management all discrepancies identified in reviews of project financial cost reports.
• Establishes and maintains communications to ensure accurate and timely flow of information.
• Implements and maintains timely and effective cost management processes and systems.
• Identifies Project Control process improvements .
• Advises management of developments that may affect project profit, costs, schedules, and client relations.
• Actively participates in an effective safety program.
• Provides support and guidance for the personal and professional development of assigned project controls personnel.
• Works with the Director of Project Controls in the training of cost management personnel.
• Takes on the roll of a Project Controls Manager when the opportunity arises.

Basic Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Construction Management, Economics, Business Management, or Business Administration.
• Must have 10 to 15 years Power industry experience, including a minimum of 5 years work experience on major projects (typically exceeding $100M in value)

Preferred Qualifications

• 15 years of Cost Analyst experience within Power Industry.
• Proficient in Microsoft Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Access and Primavera Suite of Management tools.
• Must possess strong analytical and problem solving skills
• Must be self motivated with good interpersonal and communication skills.
