Headquartered in Toronto, Canada, Barrick has a portfolio of 27 mining operations, many advanced explorations projects located across five continents and a large number of tenements located on some of the most prolific and prospective mineral trends. 11 of Barrick’s mining operations are found within the Australia Pacific region, with its regional head office located in Perth, Western Australia.   Within the Yilgarn Operations Barrick operates four wholly owned Gold Mines in the North Eastern Goldfields of Western Australia producing approx. 500,000-600,000 oz of gold each year.   Our Plutonic Operation is currently seeking a highly experience Mine Surveyor to join their Underground team. Reporting to the Senior Mine Surveyor, you will be responsible for the following duties and activities:

• Provision of accurate survey control network
• Establishing and maintaining of all underground survey control
• Producing daily survey requirements
• Volume computations for preparing monthly reports
• Maintaining and preparing of all working plans
• Maintaining all survey equipment
• Liaising with senior professional and operations personnel
• Preparing and maintaining mine plans
• Promoting of company environmental, health, safety and operational policies and procedures

Skills & Abilities
The successful applicant must have the following qualifications and experience:

• Diploma of Surveying or Bachelor Applied Science (Surveying)
• Authorised Mine Surveyor's Certificate of Competency Grade 1 issued by the WA Department of Industry and Resources would be deemed an advantage
• Underground mine surveying experience
• Competent in the use of mine design software, preferably Surpac
• Ability to work effectively within a small professional team
• High level of personal motivation and commitment
• Excellent written and oral communication skills
