Underground Longwall Operation
A rare and challenging opportunity has arisen with one of Australia's premier suppliers of thermal and coking coal to the domestic and international markets. Located just over 2 hours drive from Sydney, this idyllic location offers a fine balance between career development, community spirit, outdoor lifestyle and all the benefits of living in a residential location. In this integral role within the engineering & management team, you will maintain Mechanical Statutory Compliance across the Mechanical Engineering, Maintenance and Operational processes within this longwall operation. You will offer a high level of technical expertise and provide continuous improvements across the standards of engineering practice. As a strong project manager, you will demonstrate strong experience across planning, budgeting, maintenance systems, safety and environmental policies and be able to undertake various investigations in order to maintaining safe, cost effective, timely engineering solutions across the operation.
You will be a strong people manager with solid underground coal experience. Your tertiary qualifications in Mechanical Engineering together with your Certificate of Competency for Underground operations is essential for this position. Specific expertise in the areas of Project Management, Planning, Condition Monitoring, equipment overhauls, contract scope of works and experience with Maintenance Management Systems are paramount to your success in this role.
