The company is a global leader in the design, supply, installation, and of projects involving: high voltage equipment (transformers / switchgear) Automation Systems and Power Systems (for electrical transmission utilities).

Your challenge is to develop a strategic plan that will in the short to mid term grow this service business (currently ~$20M). This is to be achieved through organic growth, extending into new markets and potentially by acquisition. Once agreed with senior management you will implement the plan which is to be profitably delivered through a field force and a number of service centres located around Australia. Customer installations are in remote sites and established industrial areas.

We are seeking a commercially astute Service Manager who can demonstrate success in getting to the nub of the customer’s commercial and operational issues with an ability to develop customised service solutions. You have lead teams of technicians/engineers to deliver engineering service solutions to the manufacturing, electrical or water utilities or resources/mining sector. In addition you:

Are a diplomatic and assertive relationship builderPossess tertiary qualifications in engineeringHave sound commercial skills (business development, sales, contract and P&L management)This is an outstanding opportunity to continue building your career with a respected and successful corporation where you will be provided with extensive national and international technical support.
