Think Opportunity
Reporting to the Repairable Spares and Distribution Superintendent, this is an excellent opportunity for an experienced individual to manage the onsite distribution function on the required shift.
Think Purpose
The purpose of this position is the daily planning of section activities to ensure the safe achievement of department KPI targets. Activities should be coordinated across other departments in order to create maximum value to Olympic Dam. To ensure this you will manage the on-site Distribution function to agreed service levels and maintain positive relationships between OD distribution, supply, customers and on-site suppliers and contractors.
Day to day this core function involves the receipt, storage and handling of inbound goods and materials and their distribution via a transport service provider to site customers, along with the recognition and implementation of process improvements to continually develop tracking processes and storage.
Think Requirements
You will have a substantial amount of experience working in supply, distribution or warehousing, ideally with exposure to the mining or mineral processing industry. With a proactive attitude and a focus on providing service to a broad base of customers you will enjoy working within a performance-orientated team. Experience in SAP MM or similar software will be highly advantageous.
This is an Olympic Dam-based position on a 5/2 roster.
