Middelburg Mine Services (MMS) is the largest producer within the Energy Coal South Africa group producing +- 17 million saleable tones of coal a year.
Senior Surveyor
Middelburg Mine Services

As the Senior Surveyor you will comply with Fatal Risk Control Standards and the requirements of the disciplinary code. You will be responsible for underground and/or opencast survey control, measurements, producing plans, reports and notes. In addition you will also be responsible for shaft and incline surveys as well as for surface/engineering surveys. Your success will be determined by your ability to construct the layouts of the underground mine development, shaft area development and opencast mine.

In this Role you will establish directional control and measurement of volumes which includes supervising, executing and recording short term planning with reference to routine and specialised survey work.

Serious Contenders will have a National Diploma in Mine Surveying or an Advanced Survey Certificate, Computer Literacy and a minimum of 3 years experience in the mining environment as a surveyor. Having experience in Micro station or any other CAD system, Model maker and Imines will be desirable.
