Nickel West is the world’s third largest producer of nickel-in-concentrate.
The Kalgoorlie Nickel Smelter has the capacity to produce up to 110,000 tonnes of nickel matte per annum. Located just 12 kilometres from the City of Kalgoorlie-Boulder, the Kalgoorlie Nickel Smelter incorporates a flash furnace smelter, converters and an acid plant.

Think Purpose
Reporting to the Chief Chemist, the purpose of this role is to provide analytical results to the Smelter for process control purposes. The service must be prompt and reliable and communicated to process controllers and technicians for the purpose of achieving plant stability.
This role will require the successful applicant to work a 2days, 2nights, 4off roster.
Think Requirements
Previous experience in an analytical laboratory environment will be highly regarded.
Experience in sample preparation and instrumental methods of analysis in the mineral industry will be an advantage, as well as the capability to work in a close knit team environment.
You will need to have a flexible approach towards work, have excellent communication skills and attention to detail.
