Position Synopsis
We seek a team-spirited, customer-focused and experienced HR professional to be responsible for providing leadership and support to members of the HR Business Partner team based in Perth. The Business Partner team provides generalist human resources support to the Perth office as well as to functional groups based at the Pilbara sites.
As a senior member of a high-performing HR team, you will be responsible for ensuring the full range of generalist human resources support is provided, with a focus on building capability in the business.
Proactive, approachable, credible and influential, you relate well to people at all levels building close working partnerships with the line managers and the HR team.
Key responsibilities include:
* Leading, coaching and building the capability of a small team of HR generalists;
* Providing generalist human resources advice to leaders in Perth and site-based functions;
* Coordinating the annual performance, salary and incentive review processes;
* Developing and monitoring performance against the Human Resources Budget;
* Implementing change programs and contributing to the achievement of the Human Resources Business Plan; and
* Provide advice in the full range of generalist functions including the interpretation of HR policies, compensation & benefits, performance management and performance review processes, leading organisational changes and dispute resolution.
Skills and Experience
The successful candidate will be tertiary qualified in a relevant discipline and have significant senior experience in a generalist Human Resources role, preferably with supervisory experience. Experience in the resources or related industry will be highly regarded. The ability to build close working partnerships with the line managers and your HR team is essential, as are your strong communication and facilitation skills.
You must demonstrate constructive, values-driven behaviours and be passionate about developing yourself and others. Your technical strengths will be complemented by excellent communication, mentoring and interpersonal skills as you work across a variety of teams.
