We are expanding every facet of our Iron Ore business as we develop new ways to deliver competitive advantages to our customers. Our most recent growth project, Rapid Growth Project 5, will take installed capacity at our Western Australian Iron Ore operations to 205mpta by the second half of calendar year 2011.

What is this opportunity about?

An outstanding opportunity is currently available for an experienced Executive Assistant to join our business. Supporting the Vice President, Human Resources, Western Australian Iron Ore, we are seeking an exceptionally organised and team-spirited person to provide varied executive support services.

The scope of this role includes:

* Providing high level diary management;
* Managing all travel and meeting arrangements;
* Researching issues as required and preparing draft papers and recommendations;
* Document preparation, and drafting of correspondence;
* Assisting in the preparation of presentations and information releases;
* Diplomatically managing confidential and sensitive matters; and
* Commitment to and awareness of BHP Billiton Iron Ore’s safety requirements.

What do I need to experience success?

An enthusiastic and proactive approach in what is an industrious, team based environment will ensure that the Vice President’s office is well organised and efficiently run. The role requires strong initiative as you coordinate numerous activities with key stakeholders in the business, and your past experience working within a large dynamic organisation, providing high level support will underpin your success. To establish and maintain the working relationships necessary, strong interpersonal skills and effective communication, supported by absolute confidentiality will be essential.

This is a unique chance to bring together and apply your extensive experience, in a work environment where it is recognised and appreciated.

Technically, we would appreciate advanced skills across the Microsoft Suite of programs and ideally a detailed working knowledge of SAP.
