BASIC PURPOSE

Functional excellence in ensuring the timely delivery of documentation and new/repaired materials in support of Gulf of Mexico (GOM) Production Unit. Participate in development of and implement the execution of expediting plans focused on driving timely delivery, a standardized approach to expediting and progress reporting resulting in increased service levels across the Production Unit.

• Increased operational efficiencies by driving timely documentation and materials deliveries

• Increased co-ordination between the various Supply functions, Engineering, Projects, Construction Contractors and the GOM Production Unit

• Improved vendor on time delivery performance

• Increased accuracy in reports reflecting all GOM Production Unit material updates/status including vendor performance data

ROLES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

• Adherence to Supply policies, processes and procedures and Guidelines - work with all other stakeholders to drive continuous improvements of processes with an emphasis on standardization

• Delivery of documentation and materials in accordance with purchase order requirements.

• Develop and maintain strong relationships with key suppliers to ensure best delivery and surety of supply for the GOM Production Unit

• Develop and maintain strong relationships with Supply, Engineering, Projects, Construction Contractors and the GOM Production Unit

• Standardization of all expediting reports

• Co-ordinate all field expediting requirements in accordance with the Expediting Plan and/or for ad-hoc requirements

• Monitor blocked invoice report monthly and action as necessary to clear dated items. Liaise with customer and BHP Billiton A/P as required to action unpaid invoices.

• Internal / external benchmarking activities to achieve continuous performance improvement

• Research sources of supply and assist with market intelligence

• Maintain accurate data for all production unit purchasing as to required order dates, delivery dates, ship dates and receipt dates for all materials.

• Meet with customers weekly to plan material requirements

• Responsible for ensuring that all goods and materials are expedited, and shipped to meet required delivery dates.

• Coordinate and assist Supply Manager with all Vendor Master Requests (additions, updates, etc). Insure compliance w/ prequalification requirements.

EXPERIENCE AND QUALIFICATIONS

Qualifications

• University Degree preferred but not required.

Experience & Technical Competencies

• Experience in the resources industry with exposure to major oil & gas operations specifically materials expediting and purchasing

• Development of expediting plans for projects, shutdown activities

• Development and production of high quality reports and presentations

• Organization and prioritization skills

• An understanding of upstream E&P business

• A full understanding of procurement process

• Familiarity with production plans, key production milestones, project and shutdown plans

• Problem solving skills

• Good IT skills. SAP experience preferred.
